"Don't bother booking until you are there if you're on the road. If you book it same day and don't cancel within 1 hour, they will keep your money. Absolutely ZERO flexibility on this. I called 45 minutes too late which gave them the green light to keep my $52 for nothing. Now, I'm not unreasonable and understand a line must be drawn somewhere, but I used KOA exclusively because I thought they were flexible and understood that uncontrolled things happen on the road. Nope. They are just like any other RV park. So now, I will just use any other RV park instead of planning my route where I can get to a KOA each night."
"We booked this KOA 2 hours ago on our way to FL. We realized we wouldn't make it that far so we called to cancel. They will NOT refund the money, they told us we had to call within ONE hour. We typically love the convenience and flexibility of KOA on the road but the service we just received (or should I say "did not receive"), we will look elsewhere from now on."
"A koa that supplies and needs earplugs if you are camping in a tent. The tent and cabins are on the highway side of the property where there is abundant noise and light pollution. This would be particularly problematic in a tent. The property needs extensive plantings and barriers facing the highway and it should move the tent sites far away from the highway. Right now a sure sound and light barrier is basically non-existent. The RV parking is better protected. The cabins were somewhat sound insulated and were well appointed. The staff was very friendly."
"Rented a cabin for a hunting trip. Comfortable cabin, friendly staff. They even have hot food that you can order from the camp store! Only drawback is the noise from the highway a couple hundred of feet away, but even that wasn’t too bad. Great location!"
"We used this location as a mid-way stop on our way to and from a further destination. The cabin was clean, well constructed and equipped with microwave, mini-fridge, heater, and TV. The restroom facility was clean. Our check in was easy. They had a small dog run for our pups. We were satisfied."
