"I went in for an exam and xrays. My xray showed a cavity with exposed nerve needing a root canal or extraction. I cannot afford a root canal and am in need of an extraction. The dentist is unable to do extractions due to a shoulder injury which I was told about 1 hour before my visit only when I asked for an estimate. I mentioned that, professionally, they should have mentioned the inability of performing all procedures at the time of the appointment- months ago. She said the receptionist has no obligation to do so because there is no diagnoses over the phone. I have been in extreme pain prior to waiting 3 months for the appointment. I said it would have been nice to know months ago so I could make arrangements since they couldn't perform regular and basic dental procedures. She told me only oral surgeons perform extractions. I said that I've had several teeth pulled (unable to pay for numerous root canals) by general dental clinics. She told me how I was full of it because only a surgeon can extract. I was advised to ask "anybody" what oral surgery means. I became frustrated with the circumstances of not being cared for in the way I needed. I then apologized for my frustration to the receptionist I was speaking with- personally. She then ignored my apology and continued ranting about how I WAS cared for in every way possible. I was sweating so hard with rage at this point I had to end the phone call."
