"As a Nashville native who's lived in the area 30 plus years, including the Madison Rivergate area in its better days I just want to comment that a lone security guard that walks the area/parking lot is like putting a bandaid on a gunshot wound. It's also dangerous for the security guard. This area is drug infested and therefore crime riddled and draws drug user some of which are homeless with mental health issues as well as dealers some of which may be gang affiliated to the area. The security guard is a false sense of security for the guests and a safety guard against possible litigious scenarios you are bound to eventually face. Why not address the problem like what it is. A PROBLEM. Actively prosecute each and every loitering drug user or non paying guest found on the property to the fullest extent of the law each and every moment they step foot on your property. They will eventually stay away because they will wish to avoid the withdrawal they face for even the shortest arrest booking and eventual release and spending drug money on bond and court cost and perhaps multiple repeat offenses may lead to a long enough sentence for them to get clean or maybe avoid dying in your parking lot. We're all aware of the extended stay services you offer it's helpful for those that are unhoused and trying really hard to change that but at nearly 700 hundred a week or 2000. A month they're dealing with more obstacles than a credit report or they'd be renting a house or nice apartment and not staying at your hotel/motel. The extended stay guests are there because they have no other options but they shouldn't have to put up with all the extra drug use pandering and crime because your the extended stay option and are uncomfortable confronting the vagrants running rough shod at and in your place of business. I think it's cowardly of management not to address this type of behavior full on. You certainly make enough revenue to invest in guest security and let's be real your own security as well. I have no doubt the employees would love to feel they're work place is a safe environment. I am certain they do not though. If the owner or owners that reap all the financial reward had to stay 1 week here of work 1 week here they'd address it, instead they pass it off to employees and management who work for a raise or salary who may not have the luxury of job selection to brunt the blow back and deal with problems with a excuse of no budget etc when in reality you just need to proactively prosecute. They probably don't want you to take a day off for court though. Jessie R"
"Avoid this hotel. They internet barely works. I tried to upgrade to better internet, which is offered for a price, and sat on the phone with customer support for an hour and never got an upgrade. I get disconnected from the internet roughly every 20 seconds. The hotel is in a bad neighborhood. The truck next to my car had the back window busted out over night. There were people lingering around the cars in the parking lot, including my own. My wife refused to go outside alone out of fear. The room does not come with a coffee maker, nor is there a coffee maker in the building. The bathroom does not come with shampoo, conditioner, or bodywash. There were not enough towels or wash clothes and more had to be requested. I had to clean the desk 3 times for it to be reasonable to sit at for working. The rest of the room and restroom were surprisingly clean though. There are blinds, but no curtains so the parking lot lights shine brightly into the room all night. I woke at 2 am and thought it was broad daylight. I would not recommend staying here under and circumstance. Pay the extra few dollars to stay ANYWHERE else."
"Friendly staff. Stayed there for 5 weeks. People used to smoke crack outside hotel blasting music. One time a car drove by the road that takes you to the Walmart and it looked like they had a gun out the window? Felt like you were in the ghetto projects. Several drawbacks but the rooms was good full size kitchen and soft beds big bathroom. Worth it though if you have the money to pay for it $625/wk I paid like $2100 for one month."
"I stayed at this hotel for a few weeks and i must say that it was a great experience. The rooms were clean because they hired an amazing house keeper that thoroughly cleans with a great attitude. This lady is always friendly with a smile. The two front desk ladies are great as well. They never give you a hard time when a problem occurs, they just fix it. I believe it was under new management when I checked in, from what i saw she ( the new manager) mixed in well with the staff that were previously there. I would stay here again if I got a chance."
