"Lala is definitely my new favorite spot for girls' night! The cocktails were exceptional. The service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The vibes were so lively and energetic! The old fashion was hands down one of the best I've ever had! We shared the poppers, steak tartar, gnocchi, and veal, and each dish was delicious. Can't wait to come back!"

"We were excited to try Lala and made reservations as soon as we had some free time. First off, I can say the service was impeccable and we enjoyed that part of the experience. The food was good but not necessarily outstanding. Everything comes as shareable plates as the waiter explained to us when we were seated. We ordered the Blistered Tomatoes and Burrata, the Spicy Caesar and Stuffed Shells to share. Of the three dishes our favorite was the Caesar. It comes loaded with Parmesan cheese and a pleasant slightly spicy flavor. The sauce on the Stuffed Shells was fresh but the serving size could have been larger for the price and the cheese inside the shells was a little bit off on this evening. The blistered tomatoes and burrata were also fresh but just average in taste. For dessert we had the Tiramisu which comes in a glass which was a bit unusual but tasted great. Inside there was music playing at a reasonable level and the vibe is dark and moody in appearance. I would recommend not sitting near the very front of the restaurant as they were unable to close the front off to stop the cold from coming in at the tables nearest the front wall. Parking can be difficult given its location in Little Italy but there is a valet directly in front."

"Love Lala! Another huge hit from the Busalacchi Family! Smart intimate restaurant with beautiful decor and delcious food. Perfect spot for a date night! It's a smaller menu from their other restaurants but still included some big hitters that did not disappoint! We got the Sicilian Poppers, Calamari, Potato Gnocchi, Stuff Shells, Veal Parmigiano, & Bone in Ribeye. The "Picaroone" dessert is a must have!! (Definitely spelled that wrong) The owners Joey & PJ stopped by our table multiple times throughout the night just to check in and make sure things were going great. We love this! Just like their other restaraunts, you still get the "you are family" Italian hospitality that makes you ready to come back the next day!"

"Very cute new spot in the heart of little Italy in San Diego, California. Well, they definitely have some growing pains and kinks to work out. Overall, I would definitely return six months down the road the Caesar salad was one of, if not the best, I’ve ever had. The Sicilian poppers: I would never order again don’t even waste your appetite. I was shocked when a limited menu of only 15 items was missing one. We could not order the grilled cheese. The stuffed shells were OK. The red sauce on them was delicious but the filling could use some work. The espresso martinis were out of this world and made with oat milk, a first for me."

"Great new spot in the heart of Little Italy! Hostess Isabella was amazing, made us feel right at home. Detail in the decor is on point. Curved wooden wall panel and lighting makes for a very intimate night out. Shareable plates with delicious flavors. Loaded Gnocchi was one of a kind! Cant wait to visit again !"
