Frugal MacDoogal

"I have shopped at Frugal MacDoogal for nearly twenty years, though with less frequency as their selection has dwindled, their prices have gone up, and their business focus appears to have shifted to tourists rather than the people who live in our city. This morning I stopped in to pick up Irish Cream for a holiday party. When I walked in, there seemed to be only one other customer in the store (Presumably because it was a Monday morning and they hadn’t been open long.) I proceeded to the back wall where Irish Creams are displayed, and sadly they didn’t have the brand I was looking for. A large man appeared lurking nearby on his phone. His close proximity felt strange, though I initially shrugged it off. Before leaving, I decided to check out the whiskey isles (Bourbon and Scotch) to see if there was anything interesting to drink over the holidays. As I proceeded to the bourbon isle, the man followed. When I proceeded to the scotch isle, the man followed, occasionally looking up from his phone to look at me. It became apparent that I was being followed by security. There were several employees present, though not once was I offered help — Perhaps they could have helped me locate the Irish Cream I was searching for, or recommended an alternative. Instead, security decided to treat me like a thief. I made eye contact with the lurker, then promptly left the store. I don’t plan to return, and instead will shop at other stores who welcome customers rather than assume the worst and treat them like criminals."

"This is the only place to buy….all of the staff are amazing but Jerry is the best!!!! I was in trying to find a gift for my husband for our anniversary and he helped me find a hard to get item. I would give this place more then 5 stars if I could! No other place I’ll go when in Nashville!"
