"For African American history buffs interested in the local origins of Tina Turner's high school experience: Rev. Clay Evans of Fellowship Baptist Church in Chicago, and CME Senior Bishop, William H. Graves, this is the spot. Rev. Clay Evans ordained Rev. Jesse Jackson. Bishop Graves was the anointed Shepard of thousands of CME congregants. Professor F. E. Jeffries and Professor Roy B. Bond led the student body, prior to integration. Hugh Gloster of Morehouse College had family roots here. There is also a pulpit where Dr. Martin Luther King delivered a message."
