"Nice little park and walking path not sure if it ADA compliant some parts are rather steep Didn’t spend a lot of time here as I didn’t go inside the facility"
"Great little walk. Be aware that you may encounter dogs on the .2 walk back to the parking lot. The museum portion has recorded voices that tell each person's perspective in the specific accents. I enjoyed this most since a lot of people are not organic to Clarksville."
"We enjoyed the museum and interpretive center, but were a little disappointed with the fort itself. It's pretty overgrown. It would've been cool if the trees and shurbs around the fort were cleared so you could get a sense of its placement on the river how it was during the war. Also would be neat if the cannons on display were set up in the fort. But overall we enjoyed our visit!"
"This is a great place to go, learn some, see some walk and explore some. You can't go wrong here. Don't go expecting to see the "Fort" it's the foot print BUT the earth works are there. To know your walking where they did, to see the interpretive center/museum is great. They have many things to see and educate yourself and little ones on. The gift shop is very reasonable with prices. There were even a few picnic tables plenty of benches to stop and rest on if needed when walking the well paved path. I myself and my 15 yr old Granddaughter enjoyed our afternoon there, we spoke, laughed and had a great time being in nature and talking of who was here 161 years ago what it might have been like. We paid our respects to the USCTs and thought about how hard it was for them to even make it there to enlist. This is a great little gem of history in the town of Clarksville"
"The museum was closed Sunday morning and all day Monday, but we walked the paths and read the informational markers. Most were in good shape. I really enjoyed the history of the US colored troops during the Civil War."
