Holiday Inn Express Nashville W I40/Whitebridge Rd, an IHG Hotel

"I’ve been a rewards member for years and decided to use some points for Jan 27,2024 for 2 nights. Everything was fine except the mattress was very very firm. Been all over the US and always stay at HIExpress. Mattresses are always super comfortable, never very very firm. We couldn’t sleep. Asked at the desk if they had any foam…even a small piece just for my husband’s hips. No was the answer. Even asked if there were other rooms with a softer mattress. Answer NO. So we went to Walmart and bought a Full size mattress 1 1/4 inch foam in the bedding section. For $17. That wouldn’t be a big expense for hotels to have a few of those on hand. Doesn’t have to cover the entire bed. Just where your hips lay."

"Came in on business. The rooms were beautiful and well kept. They provide wifi, cable TV, and its perfect for some quiet time. They served a complimentary breakfast that was really good. The pool is outside, so closed for the season. They have laundry on the 1st floor for $3 each wash and dry. I was very satisfied with my stay."

"We loved this HIE! It was convenient and extremely nice. The breakfast and coffee were great. Rooms were nice. Love the dove products. Loved the room layout. We stayed on the first floor 115 and it was the absolute best room to stay in! Right by the gym, coffee bar, and breakfast."

"Staff was superb. Room was not. Advertised that the facility had been completely renovated. Room 312 must have been overlooked. Bathroom was horrible. Old style toilet and tub. Drain was slow with water backing up. Quick shower. Again, staff was superb. Price was way too much for this poor quality facilities. Not the normal standard for HIE."

"This Holiday Inn Express sure was an experience. It starts with the arrival in the lot where guests are greeted by safety lights whose brightness rivals that of the sun. Check in certainly was streamlined. No need for pleasantries or even a greeting. Just stand there, say your name, hand over your credit card and ID to the silently outstretched hand. No bother of having to think of how to form words to respond when the desk clerk says nothing to you. Then it's off to your room, where you enter the bathroom to discover much to your relief that it's not vomit in the bathtub, no it's just rust spots all over. How nice, no worries about the drain stopper accidentally plugging the tub during a shower since it has been kindly removed and left laying in the middle of the tub. When bed time rolls around, the room is great for those that need lights on to sleep. Remember those bright parking lot lights? Well they illuminate the room quite well through the blackout window shade that's been ripped from it's tracks. Now lay down and doze off to the soothing relaxing bed time sounds of the battery beeps from a smoke detector in the hallway. When you do fall asleep, hopefully you'll have some good dreams but should you end up having a nightmare, don't fret, the loud guests roaming the halls well past 3:00AM will swiftly wake you reminding you of the reality in you're in which might actually be worse than the nightmare you were having. Of course all those feelings will just fade away when you get the final bill and have to double check that you're eyes are seeing correctly when you are reminded the total for your one night adventure in this carnival house is over three hundred."
