"Luisa's is a hidden gem! The food was excellent (highly recommend the gorgonzola gnocchi and the bruschetta), as was the house wine. Best of all, is that we got to meet Luisa herself! 93 years old and thriving, she was a delight to tell us about the restaurant's history and her favorite items. A must-visit if you like Italian food!"
"Had a great dinner at Luisa's on Guerrero, and had the privilege to meet and have a delightful conversation with Luisa herself, 94, and running two restaurants in San Francisco for over 60 years! Meatball pizza was delicious and a great appetizer to share. Pastas are very fresh and plentiful - paparadelle with meat sauce was savory and gnocchi with pesto was light as air. Can't wait to return and try new dishes!"
"The food and the service was amazing. We tried the lasagna which was very tasty! And the salad very fresh as well. The personal are very kind and Luisa came to our table to say hi. The experience was authentic and I'm looking forward to coming back soon!"
"Food and service were spectacular! A true neighborhood gem. We ordered ceasar salad, meatball pizza, pesto gnocchi, spaghetti amatriciana, and tiramisu which were all authentic and so delicious. The staff are so lovely to talk to, as well!"
"Went there after noticing they recently opened and nothing short of impressive. Met Luisa! 94! What an experience. The atmosphere was adorable and the music was nice. The floors walls chairs all clean. And a pretty cool aesthetic with mirrors on the tops of the walls to give an infinite feeling. The service was fast and responsive. All friendly and helpful staff. Not a single complaint or suggestion. The food was fantastic. Like actually more impressed than we expected (and we went in with high expectations!). For those curious, we had the Meatballs appetizer (comes with 2 large meatballs in a bowl of delicious tomato sauce). Then we shared a Gluten Free pizza and Gluten Free pasta. Specifically the Quattro Stagione (basically 8-slices with 2-slices of 4 different pizzas!) and the Fettuccine con Pollo with Pesto. The gluten free pasta is only Penne but that’s pretty standard so no complaints there. The pesto tasted SO fresh it was immaculate and the pizza had an amazing flavor profile with all varieties. And as someone who cares about the quality of the GF ingredients used, I can say this is a place that doesn’t remote quality when they remove the gluten haha. All in after 2 soft drinks and tip was $82 for 2 people. Extremely well priced for the quality of the food and everything included. This might just be our new favorite Italian place. ♥️"
