"I can’t believe I have not written a review on Lupa Trattoria before. I have been coming here regularly for the past 12 years. This, in my opinion, is the best Italian restaurant in San Francisco. The secret is simple dishes, executed perfect every time. Stefano, the owner maintains the quality of food, service, and wine selection extremely well. This restaurant, truly, is one of the best kept secret in San Francisco."

"Food is fine but nothing special. Service is attentive and kind. Atmosphere is nice - a homey, traditional feel. My wife and I came here on a Monday morning. We made a reservation 15mins in advance and had no issues getting a table. We shared a salad and had a pasta each. The pastas were perfectly fine but nothing amazing. My seafood spaghetti had a generous portion of mussels, clams, shrimp, and squid. The salad was disappointing - for $14 I’d expect more than a small plate of mixed greens with a lemon vinaigrette."

"Everything was great. The flavours, the temperature of the food when served, just fantastic. I did find that my spaghetti was just a tad bit underdone, the other pastas were al-dente. Sorry, I forgot the names of all the dishes. The tiramisu was also so so good! This might be my new favourite Italian in town!"
