"We like Hampton for the included breakfast, but this hotel is old and dated. The rooms have little or no sound proofing. The staff is courteous and the location is great."

"At least a few times a year, my husband and I make a very long drive that leads us through Franklin. On more than one occasion, we’ve stated at this Hampton Inn. Our stay is usually uneventful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is convenient. Last night we got in late. We had our key on our phone. We had our dog with us. She is a good girl, but she does bark when she sees strangers sometimes. The stairwell is right by a side door that leads outside. Unfortunately, the keypad to that door wasn’t working. So this morning, my husband took our dog out via the stairs so she wouldn’t disturb anyone and just put something to prop the door open so they could get back in. He was only going to be a moment, and was right there near the door. The front desk person came up behind him and removed it and let the door close on him. My husband was still right there within a few feet of the door. This person didn’t say anything to him, didn’t offer to help in any way, didn’t even acknowledge him, just shut him out and walked away. As a result, he had to walk our dog through the lobby, which caused a ruckus that could easily have been avoided. We understand that propping a door open is probably against a rule or regulation of some kind, but we doubt there’s any rule or regulation that prevents staff from using their words. An operational keypad at the side door would also likely help."

"Great staff, clean room and convenient to nice restaurants, downtown Franklin and the Antique Mall (Across the street). Lobby is cozy and friendly and the Hampton Inn hot breakfast is always a plus! I'll be back!"

"Not worthy of the Hilton franchise. Old & worn. Staff is not helpful or friendly. Overpriced. BUT, they did have bacon, bagels, & cream cheese for breakfast. This raised them from 2 stars to 3. I would not stay here again. A wasterm of my Honors points."
