"Outdated 1950's style rooms with doors opening to outdoors. I had reserved a non pet non smoking king bed. They gave it away."
"We wanted a jacuzzi room which this was the only available choice hotel which had one left but we had to travel to Franklin KY when everything we were doing was in Bowling Green KYbut my boyfriend wanted to treat me extra special tonight. So we went for it. The jets didn't work on the big bathtub unfortunately. But the bathtub did fit both of us comfortably; so we took a nice hot bath together. This place was OK. Not my best stay but it was OK. And it was clean so that's all that matters, right?!?"
"The bathroom floor was a little sticky and the corners of the tub were dirty/moldy. Otherwise clean and bed mattress was not too comfortable. Did not even have breakfast since it is basically cereal, muffins, or nasty waffles. The pool is empty and only the second floor ice machine works. Fortunately, there is s McDonald's just across the road for quick breakfast."
"The old saying of “You get what you pay for rings true” with this motel. Before I get into the negatives, let me first start by saying that the service was great. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Both front desk employees were pleasant to speak with. We stopped here on our drive back from Florida, we were looking for a “middle level” motel for a good price. We only paid $68 for a one night stay, not bad. However upon arrival I very quickly realized why this place was only $68. The exterior of the building was deteriorating. Faded paint, dim yellow lighting, etc. The “plants” around the building were either dead or non existent. The pool was drained (mid April, makes sense) - but the area around the pool was filthy. The rooms exterior door had scratches and paint peeling off the outside. The interior of the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The early 2000’s decor felt like I was in a yard sale decorated room. A tattered blue chair sat in the corner with strings of thread bursting from every seem. Every single inch of wood in the room seemed to have scratches, scrapes, or peeling. The room was damp in feeing, almost humid. The dull lighting didn’t allow for much illumination in the room, probably to hide the condition of the bed. I always check the mattresses from top to bottom when I arrive at hotels/motels - Buckle up… The sheets felt almost as if they had a wax coating on them. It was consistent throughout the entire sheet. There were long grey hairs hidden in the sheets. The pillows were almost blown out beyond use, absolutely zero support. Under the sheets sat a mattress topper, the topper looked relatively new. The mattress itself was FILTHY. Cigarette burn holes, brown stains, and exposed springs. The bathroom wasn’t much better. Whomever cleaned our room left a roll of toilet paper with maybe five sheets left, there was dry fecal matter on the roll. The floors were sticky, as if they were only sprayed with a cleaner than left. The shower alone was enough to almost make me request a refund. The tile at the base of the tub was cracked and sharp pieces were exposed. The handle to turn the water on was rusted and covered in residue. There was no shower liner, just a thin shower curtain with mildew exposed at the bottom. There were multiple electrical issues as well. Both bedside wall lamps were nearly falling out of the wall. The light switch near the sink was 1/2 inch off the wall. The room above us sounded as if they were about to fall through the ceiling at any moment. They were only walking around, but it sounded as if they were going to crumble down on us. The nearby traffic makes it almost impossible to sleep. Being that everyone in this town had a giant truck with no exhaust, that’s all you heard. I normally give places like this the benefit of the doubt. I’ve stayed at similarly priced motels and had great experiences, however the owners of this location must not believe in updates, TLC, or keeping guests happy."
"Very clean rooms. Motel was quiet, clean and very affordable. The young lady at the counter was quiet but nice. Although I did not use the pool, it was very nice and very clean. I really do not expect meals from a motel. In the morning I went across the road to the Waffle House and had a real breakfast. There was a gas station next to it where I filled up my truck and I was on my way. Five stars and a meal would be at hotel with room service. I just like a clean quiet place to sleep on my trip. This motel was fine."
