South Tunnel General Store

"Visited the glimpse of the past today, very nice corner store from a by gone Era, the way I wish it still was today! I bought some candy, some home made cheezy bread with hot peppers! My mom and dad were along for the ride and while we were there we enjoyed a double cola and a moon pie! The owner is a very nice man who is really trying hard to bring back the charm of the old country store! If your in the area stop by and have a double cola or a RC cola, there are other choices available and get warm by the coal heated stove in the middle of the room! I know I am going back!"

"Step back in time to this awesome piece of history. Originally built in 1859 when the railroad came through and has served different roles throughout the years. Now, after being vacant for decades, it has been/is being revilitized and revamped as a General Store by a young man who appreciates the history of the area. Stop in for a soda, some preserves, groceries, antiques, and a game of checkers. Very cool experience. Stop in and buy something to help him continue his mission."
