Economy Smog Check

"One of the worst customer experiences ever. 2 years ago my well maintained Volvo XC 60 failed because it had " not been driven on the freeway enough". I paid for 2 inspections, and a lot of wasted time on 280. Unbeknownst to me, my 88 year old mother had the same issue with her perfectly maintained Acura sedan. I have now shared the same experience with 2 neighbors. I went there yesterday thinking there would be new ownership. Instead "JJ" was incredibly hostile and rude as I pulled my car into the service bay. I always try to support local businesses, but this guy needs to understand how to treat people with respect. There are many other options for smog inspections. Do not support this crass and unscrupulous person."

"Cheapest smog for a reason, you get what you pay for. He doesn’t really know anything about cars and will come at you with a negative attitude if you even try to suggest he’s wrong. Has failed me for my stock a4 not having a blow off valve, even though it doesn’t come with one from the factory and reamed me on the retest for a different car. Not worth the hassle."

"Best price for a smog check in the area. The owner (JJ) seemed super nice, he had me out in 15 minutes. FYI they also offer multiple DMV services - not free like you could get at the DMV but the time savings seems absolutely worth it"

"Quick and easy. Called because another shop was overcharging. The guy on the phone said $40 out the door. Drove over and only took 15 mins. No hassle and no BS. The guy said the other shop was charging extra becuase the dmv paper said I needed to go to a special shop. No difference in service, same smog."

"We brought our perfectly functioning truck in for a smog check. The owner told us there was a check engine light was on that related to the cigarette lighter and changing the fuse would fix that. Once he changed the fuse our truck wouldn't start at all. He didn't know why and offered to run a diagnostic check for $150.00 and was very defensive about the situation. We chose to have the truck towed to our trusted mechanic who fixed the issue. A critical switch was triggered - even our kind tow truck driver suspected that. We chose to give the owner the benefit of the doubt and went to discuss the issue a couple of days later. We both were met with hostility, denial and zero accountability. We were shocked at his attitude and will be working on reporting him and getting the word out that he takes no responsibility for his actions. A very upsetting experience from a local business."
