"I was directed by my flooring installer to call Hardwoods of Nashville instead of Home Depot for some materials to finish a flooring job at our home. I bought some quarter round and it was much cheaper than the big box stores. Good product, as well. We picked up the 250 ft of product and we had an issue while driving it home We called them and asked if they deliver and they offered to help us. Within 20 minutes there guy shows up and takes the product home for us. He was already going to our area, but he was nice enough to take the time to help. THANK YOU!"
"First-time home buyers who relied on this company for guidance and consultation around matching some existing hardwood flooring we had in our home. Very clear in our communications about the existing wood and how we weren't sure if it was red or white oak. Was told to bring a sample of the wood into their store for a chemical test, which we did, then when we were sold 17 pallets of the wrong wood, we were told that the chemical test wasn't actually 100% reliable, and that because they weren't the ones actually installing the wood -- we had our own contractor -- they weren't held liable for the mistake. They went on to say that they couldn't actually tell what kind of wood we were trying to match without coming out to our house for a separate test. Interesting that they never mentioned that as an option to us during the sales / consultative process! We were only told to come in with a sample of the wood. Tried to reason with over the phone and ultimately were (literally) laughed at on the other end of the line. I've never had such a negative experience with a small business. Such poor communicators. Unapologetic and unwilling to work with us to make this right. $1500 down the drain, with no partial refunds. Please, if you're reading this review, check out the other more reputable flooring companies in Nashville like L&L, Verchota, etc. I wish we would have done more due diligence on this company before working with them. Lesson learned."
"Pricing and material quality were good for the 4200sqft of 4" white oak I bought. They gave me a good bid on labor and I regret their install. Sanding is uneven, finish coat was poor, they over cut my white oak registers leaving permanent cut marks in my floor which they filled but are still visible. They failed to cull some boards that had no business being nailed down. They tried to install without resin paper but I caught them doing so and made them get some more. $600'000 home, they should have put more care into this job."
"My family contacted this company to replaced an area of our hardwood floor and to sand and refinish some hardwood flooring. Everything was going smoothly until the workers put the wrong stain down on the flooring. My wife quickly noticed this error and contacted the company. They quickly admitted this error and planned on correcting this problem. Despite the company and one of the workers having my wife's cell phone number, the workers decided to enter through a window of our house to go about correcting this problem. My wife didn't find out what was going on until she received a phone call from the company saying the worker needed to come back at a later time because the floor was still sticky and needed to dry some more. After letting the company know this was not an okay practice, we were greeted with excuses like, "They normally only do that with new builds" etc. No compensation was offered such a gross error in judgement. After a little arm twisting, the job was completed in a timely and satisfactory manner. Only use this company if you don't mind the workers speaking little to no English and you also like requests being ignored about specifics for the work being done."
"I highly recommend you stay far away from this place. We purchased $2500 of hardwood flooring from this business (with plans to purchase much more from them in the near future). In the process of loading the wood into our truck, the employees damaged our tailgate. We were told to get an estimate and they would take care of the price of getting it fixed as it was their fault. Of course, the next day they claim it was not their fault and refuse to pay a dime. We are furious we gave them our business as they are not honest nor ethical folks and we are out not only the $2500 we wasted on buying their product that we could have easily gotten elsewhere but an additional $1100 to fix our damaged tailgate. Go elsewhere for your flooring needs. These guys aren't worth your time."
