"Be Careful Who You Buy From! In 2009 my husband and I decided to purchase the last available lot in the Woodstock neighborhood and build a house. We wanted a house that we could easily maintain as we aged. We sold our large piece of property where we had lived for several years and contracted with Michael Shane Meyers to build what we wanted. We took a hands-on approach, choosing finishes and brick that we liked, planning for this to be our last home purchase. Our brick was made by General Shale in Johnsonville, TN, which we purchased through US Brick at 181 Terminal Road in Clarksville. Recently, I have noticed pinholes in the bricks, which grow larger and shed pieces onto the ground. It appears as though my bricks are starting to fail, and they cover my whole house. I contacted the City of Clarksville. They sent out someone to take a look. He agreed that there was a problem with the brick. I then contacted the brick company. They sent a sales representative to look at the brick. Nathan Matthews, a structural engineer with General Shale sent me a letter stating that the Sales Representative saw no problem with the bricks, only the mortar and workmanship. I guess the holes and peeling brick pieces were a part of some strange, new design that didn’t show up for 13 years? He “hopes this will address my concerns.” It does not. Every house we ever lived I has led up to this house, and now it may be falling down. And so, dear Tennesseans, today I would very much like to warn you to be careful who you buy from. Be careful to choose companies that stand behind their products - unlike US Brick and General Shale."
"Very nice personnel. Arrived and was unloaded by the time they were officially open. Heads up to the unloading crew. Thank you."
"Very quick to unload forklift driver good attitude and my hrs was low and was allowed to do my 10hr break outside of their gate...."
"Easy in, easy out. Take note if there is a flatbed around the corner behind the ramp being unloaded. If so, just pull beside the large dumpster until he clears out.. Open your doors but wait until your lined up with the ramp to slide your tandems. You'll see why. When finished you can readjust your tandems outside the gate in the large area. Easy breezy lemon squeezy"
"We are just finishing building a house and these guys have worked with us every step of the way. So amazing! They are friendly and have good prices."
