Reviews of Road Runner Sports Corporate Headquarters
"Visited the corporate location here in 2023 and picked up some Hokas with custom inserts. Pretty nice location with a huge selection of shoes and at the time they had tons of sales staff running around (I think they were having a huge special going on at the time). They also will make custom inserts on the spot there which are molded to your feet. Pretty nice I suppose if you are an avid runner but they'll run you 80$ (!) if I remember correctly. Buyers beware of the sales staff though! While there at the register they asked us about a membership which I remember declining. Deal was apparently a free membership for the first year with automatic charges thereafter (per the usual catch with free trial deals). Pretty sure I was told I wouldn't be signed up and they didn't take my email or phone number down. However low and behold come March 2024 I found I was charged 50$ for what I found was the membership I never wanted. Had to call their main line to cancel via customer service who explained since they never took down my contact info, I never received any notice that the trial membership I apparently was signed up for (never wanted to begin with!) would be renewing! Fortunately the customer service rep said she was able to refund the charge (3-5days- will be watching for it...). Needless to say, I'm pretty irritated at what appears to be the sales staff who signed me up for a membership without my knowledge."
"I never write reviews but I was so impressed with the speed of delivery that I needed to share. I never pay for the expedited shipping option. I was expecting my shoes to arrive within 7-10 business days. Instead, I received word that my shoes were going to arrive within the week and low and behold they did! I would definitely shop again here if shipping remains this efficient! Kudos!!"
"I’ve been running for 48 years now (5 marathons and a jillion other races) and this shop gave me the best running shoe buying experience I’ve ever had! Truly pros. I purchased in person last year, signed up as a VIP, then ordered on line again this week since I now live in the boonies. A smooth and seamless experience all around, and the speed with which I received my shoes via UPS was head-spinning good. Great job, all of you at Road Runner Sports!"
"I just received a used pair of shoes after ordering them directly from the website. I received these on Thursday 1/18/2024 but was at work until this morning. So now to my surprise , I have to send pictures of the used, dirty shoes and the packing box that is crushed. This dirty box was placed in a clean packing bag. So maybe Road Runner is selling outlet shoes off on their main website to clear out old stick? This corporate practice is very deceiving so maybe in-store purchases are the only best (honest option)??? Update: 2/1/24 After multiple attempts were made from RR by delivering more used, worn, or tried on returns being sold as new. The only option was to settle and pick a color of the same shoe that was left in stock. The CS experience was top notch but this experience was not only avoidable but really exhausting."
"Poor experience. I purchased two shoes. One was an endorphin pro. When I opened the box labeled endorphin pro there were trail shoes in it. This was clearly the company’s mistake. I was told I wouldn’t be receiving a replacement until they received my shoes and then it could take up to 2-3 weeks to receive the right shoes. I’ve purchased 50 shoes from running warehouse and never had this issue and returns there are so much simpler. I had a recent issue with shoes I purchased from Nike and immediately shipped the shoes and paid to overnight them and I had to return the shoes within 48 hours to a retail store. They gave the excuse it was saucony’s fault since they ship them. When I called Saucony, they said it was Roadrunner. As the customer, I’m the one losing out. Never again! A $20 gift card for not having shoes for a race is unacceptable. They could have overnighted the shoes and figured out a way to do it. I asked. Scroll down and read the reviews they are many unhappy customers. PS: They were going to make me PAY to return the shoes lol. Pay?! That’s insane!!!! PS PS: The customer service person was speaking with their manager during our conversation so it’s not just one person that is providing a poor experience. My reply to Rhian F: I didn’t have my shoes for race day! I asked if I could and customer service said no, there is nothing they could do. $20 is a slap in the face. I had to ask to get the shipping waived! I had to wait on Saucony to admit there was an error and only then could I get a refund. So instead of doing the right thing and issuing the refund I had to wait. I didn’t make the mistake but I was penalized by Road Runner. No where on your website does it say it’s shipped from the manufacturer. That’s misleading. How am I supposed to know your distribution model per supplier? And what you are telling me is I should buy from the supplier since you have no control and are just a “middleman.” I had a similar issue with running warehouse and they sent the shoes immediately. How you get the shoes and distribute them is up to you, but you shouldn’t make the customer suffer. I had to buy shoes with my own money again without a refund. I was on hold for 20+ minutes just dealing with this as well. Your reply is totally unsatisfactory."
