"My BMW 328i was not starting. I had to get it towed to a shop locally in Alameda and thankfully I found Raymond's shop. Raymond is really a BMW expert and the required BMW specific tools to back his expertise. He methodically worked through all the issues on the car. He spent time explaining each step of the diagnostic process, the issue and the solution. There were a lot of issues with the car and after a lot of detailed work, its back up and running well. I found Raymond to be trust worthy, genuine and non-compromising on quality."
"Thank you to Ray for working with me on my Mercedes. First time Benz owner and Ray explained everything that was wrong with the car, what I needed to do in order of importance, and worked with me on a final price on multiple occasions. Very honest and trustworthy. Cheaper than other mechanics I've taken my car to on Alameda. Thank you Ray. I'm already a return customer x3 since I discovered Ray's shop."
"Ray is a very knowledgeable, experienced mechanic and understands the details, especially with BMWs. I have a BMW 335i and the car runs better than when I took it in - plus he provides great service at lower cost than the dealership. He was friendly and willing to take the time to talk to the customer to explain the repairs and tips on how to maintain the car in the future to keep repair costs low. I would recommend his service to any of my friends."
"Z-Doctor? I don't need no stinkin' Z-Doctor. I drive several Nissan 300ZX, dating back from the 1985 Turbo model to the 1990 2+2 model and almost everything in between. Throughout all of my interactions with Raymond for either mechanic help to simply asking for advice on my cars, he's been thorough and pleasant in his work and assistance. My first interaction was when my 1985 300ZX failed smog due to one of the vacuum hoses needing to be replaced as well as my ignition timing that needed to be adjusted. I dropped the car off with Raymond after reading great Yelp reviews and within 2 hours, I had my car pass smog and he also pointed out some addition issues I was having which he fixed at little to no cost. The most recent interaction was when I needed my shocks replaced on the same car. Not only did Raymond work swiftly to make this job happen because he knew this was my primary commuter car, but he also replaced several hoses that were leaking AND saved my life because he noticed my tires were literally about to fall off due to some crappy service and missing pieces thanks to Big O Tires right now the street. UPDATE: I've now had Raymond redo my suspension, transmission, wheel bearings and bushings throughout my 300zx and have since bought a new 370z which is now in Raymond's hands. If your goal is to ensure your car runs as it should with maximum performance, look no further. After dealing with poor communication and customer service from the Nissan dealership (my 370z is under warranty), I'd rather shell out the $ to have Raymond work on it knowing the job will be done correctly and with enthusiasm. Thank you Raymond!!! Raymond is one of those rare mechanics who has always been honest with me, never tried to hustle me in any way and always worked hard and through very late hours to get my car in fantastic shape and back in my hands. I've now referred friends to him and will continue to rely on him for all of my car-related needs. So long, overly priced Z-Doctor. You've got a new competitor in town and he goes by the name of Raymond Yeung."
"Last Monday my car's brakes went out while I was in Lafayette. I contacted Alameda Alfa Auto Repair in Alameda where I live and the mechanic, Raymond Yeung, had the car towed for me and had everything repaired and running well in a couple of days - even though my car is very old and parts are not always easy to find. Mr Yeung is a pleasure to work with. He always does excellent work and patiently explains the work that is needed in detail. His emphasis is on safety which, I agree, is the most important thing. I have compared prices and I believe that the prices at Alameda Alfa Auto Repair are reasonable and I have confidence in the mechanic's expertise. I have a bit of a busy schedule so it also means a lot that the work has always been finished exactly when he says it will be. I would highly recommend this business - my 33 year old Volvo still passes the smog tests thanks to Alameda Alfa Auto Repair!"
