"I requested a quote from Midtown Autoworks for a PPI on a flooded Porsche. The owner responded promptly with a pretty high quote compared to others after I responded with the links to the car for sales and carfax info. The owner urged me to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. This Porsche is expensive even with a salvage title. I figure I should use the 'best independent Porsche mechanics in town' to do this at a higher price for such a high risk car. It is almost near what a dealer would charge. I also ask the owner if he can make some recommendations on purchasing this car after the PPI. After that email, all communication stopped. The Porsche was sold shortly after. I sent more emails. crickets."
