"I had appointment with shop next door and went here by mistake and said I have appointment and they didn’t say there is no appointment with them in my name and took the car for repair. Car issue was that it was heating up and service person said they work on smart cars . Later called me that it cost $1000 to change the fan! After doing that , said that also an electronic module needs to be replaced and programmed or car will still heat up and this time costs additional $2100. Note that the 2014 car is only valued at about $6000. I then checked with Mercedes Benz dealer and realized that prices charged and quoted are higher than what Mercedes would have charged . The service person at BrakeMasters then said they don’t even have specialist to program if SAM module is changed and this is despite taking the car for repair to begin with . After all that was not their specialty. I even asked them to take the fan out and they wanted to charge me additional 4 hours of labor ! Car is still heating up and I am out of $1000 and still have to take to dealer"
