"Best quality food ever! Had some rolls and steak batayaki. Really good! Highly recommend! Best rolls we've ever had. The steak batataki was cooked to perfection. Their misoyaki salmon was also sooo good! Will definitely be coming back!"

"I am so excited about this new Japanese restaurant! We visited last night at 7pm on a Friday. It is a large restaurant and almost every table was taken, but we were shown right to our seats. The first thing I noticed was how beautiful the decor was. The bar area is very cool and the drinks coming out were gorgeous. We have two young children and they gave us the option of a booth or table with high chairs. We sat in a large comfortable booth, the kids were given crayons and menus to color. I've never been to a beautiful sushi restaurant where I felt comfortable having my kids before. We ordered the teriyaki chicken for the kids (which I tasted and was definitely a 5/5), the truffle Brussels sprouts, and the calamari to start. The brussels were perfect and crispy and we ate the entire bowl, and the crispy calamari was crunchy and not at all greasy and perfectly seasoned. We also ordered from the raw bar, we got the Rainbow Roll At, high quality fresh fish without too much sauce taking away from the flavor) and the garlic salmon (oh my god). To finish we got some nigiri and the star was their 3 way sake which had the salmon nigiri topped with crispy salmon skin and salmon eggs. After dinner I took my 4 year old to the bathroom where I saw that they had a real changing table with a basket of changing table liners. I know this sounds like a silly thing to put in a review, but as a mom who's changed her babies on a sink before, this was such a thoughtful touch. We were honestly blown away, I haven't been this excited about a local restaurant in a long time."

"Happy hour. We ordered 4 things. Ate the two rolls before i remembered to take pictures. 7 piece sashimi and garlic slamon in the picture. Garlic salmon was ok...it was warm due to lightly torched...I probable prefer it if it was cold maybe. Salmon sashimi was good."

"For those of you who grew up in Sacramento, Fuji Restaurant will bring back many fond memories. This new Fuji restaurant has an updated interior and is in the perfect, centrally located location. The flags outside of the restaurant reminds me of being in Japan. There is an extensive use of wood throughout and the interior is very tastefully decorated. The wood bar top is beautiful and the lit up wall behind the bar is visually interesting. Service is good and the servers are very friendly and attentive. It is the food that shines. The beef teriyaki is so tender and not overly sauced so the beef flavor is the star. The chicken teriyaki is tender and juicy. The pork tonkatsu is so soft and good. The sashimi is fresh. The small plate concept is perfect because we like to share food. It so nice to see the broadway corridor getting more lively and we had no safety concerns when visiting the area."

"Our experience was just OK. Our waiter was awesome but was covering too many tables of 6+ people each. Took a while to order drinks let alone food. Drinks came out sporadically and one wine glass had lipstick on it. The $14 cocktails were terrible. Margarita tasted like salt water and others had little to no alcohol. Stick with beer/wine here. Food came out sporadically as well and one member had to ask for their plate as it never came. I will say my beef Udon was delicious - I ate the whole bowl. Sushi and teriyaki plates were also very good. So good food, but they need to work on 1) taking orders in a timely fashion 2) bringing out drinks/food in a timely fashion 3) a decent bar tender. I’ll come back in a few months to see how things go but definitely room for improvement"
