"If I can give a 6 star rating, I would ! After being in the Bay Area for twenty years I can honestly say Gustavo is The Best mechanic I’ve ever had ! While living in San Francisco, I was going to Carlos Auto Repair ( sadly since retired ) He was the #1 all time mechanic in the city rated on Yelp. Well ... Id even rate Gustavo above that !! One thing that often happens at other shops is when you go there, there’s always a large crowd of cars that need to be fixed ahead of you. You gotta drop off the car and pick up later. Gustavo’s is great because when I make a scheduled visit ( and after diagnosis ) I show up, get my car fixed immediately and then leave with it fixed ! The shop is clean and orderly, almost like a doctor’s office. It’s another indicator that he’s disciplined with a strong work ethic. I have an ‘80s Toyota van - which is seemingly difficult for other mechanics to work on. Gustavo also owns this type of van, so that’s why I started going to his shop. He works on all types of other cars though ! - like my Scion xB. Pretty much anything that I need fixed , he has fixed it. Since he is the sole proprietor of the shop, his over head is lower than larger shops with a bunch of mechanics. Those savings are definitely passed to you, the client. Totally honest and the best value !!!"

"I called Gustavo and told him that I needed the water pump on my 99 suburban replaced, l had the part. He told me he was working on a car and that I could come at 4:10pm. But I said 4:30 pm would be better. So when I showed up at his shop it turned out the part I brought was missing a head gasket. He then called Napa auto parts and ordered a new water pump for which I paid. He did an excellent testing the pressure before and after replacing the water pump. I plan on coming back to him for further maintenance. Nice guy. Highly recommended."
