"My husband's Subaru went over a foot deep of water over the holiday weekend while visiting family, and started stalling. No one would look at the car before our long drive back to Los Angeles except Nick. He diagnosed the problem right away, repaired the problem in a very timely manner, and charged a very fair price. Nick was friendly and professional, completely trust worthy. Would recommend Nick to anyone."

"Nick is a nice enough guy and clearly knows cars. But he doesn’t do the investigation you’d want in a large job. Take your car in for simple tasks like oil changes and such, otherwise consider somewhere else. I took my car in for a head gasket replacement. Cost was reasonable. He did the work, but returned the car with a very loud clicking noice. The car ran well, but was consuming fuel at nearly x2 the normal rate. I returned it and he said he’d look into it. Already the car was in the shop for just shy of 3 weeks. I picked up the car after he tried adjusting the valve timing, but still clicking. Now the car was in for just shy 5 weeks. I drove it around for 3 days and still heard the clicking. I had to do my own research to figure out that it was likely two potential issues. I returned the 3rd time and mentioned these potential problems and he said he’d look into it. He took my advice and fixed one of the issues. He charged me for the part and labor, which may hence been discounted since the labor cost seemed low. Now the car was in the shop for 1.5 months in total. Each time my car was in the shop, he went through a full tank of gas and returned it with less than a quarter of a tank. So +3 tanks of gas to $$. Additionally, he’s the only one in the shop. If he’s sick or goes on vacation, it adds time to the work. I found a floating bolt and a few bolts loose on one of the returns. There was also some grease smudges on the interior which won’t come out. Lastly, no credit card is accepted."
