"This shop is very friendly, and he will be very honest with you. I had my air conditioner looked at by another shop in town, they wanted a great deal of money to replace a compressor. I took it to ATA Auto, and he looked at it for free and told me it just needed to be charged. He charged it for a reasonable cost and my air conditioner works great! He's a one man show so it's best to leave your car if you can. He's very, very, very good."

"Wish I could rate this negative Stars took my car in for a blown valve Which is less than a week's worth of work, for him to tell me the a loose spark plug was the cause of the issue. well his mechanic did my spark plugs and coil pack whom he later fired for making mistakes on the job 3 months later I finally am able 2 fly back from Portland to pick up my vehicle I get there and the engine is knocking he wants me to take my vehicle like nothing is wrong and when I said something asked me what it wasn't making that noise before. I left my vehicle there until he can fix it properly he tells me he tries to drive it home that night for a test drive and blows three more valves and the crankshaft at this point he didn't have the proper tools to do it to specifications but still charged me two and a half times the money to fix it again I had it back for two days five months later when the whole electrical system shutdown he keeps taking vacations to other states for car shows and events while my car is undriveable in his shop due to his incompetence. my car is an 09 Aveo with less than 60,000 miles and has been in his shop for over 10 months my brother-in-law I fell asleep at the wheel totaled a brand new truck and had it back within 3 weeks please do not take your car here you'll be lucky to get your brakes done right"
"A few years ago, I brought my 84 Prelude in to replace a heater hose because it was in a tight spot. When I came to pick it up, the short, chubby guy (owner- I think) told me that 'for some reason, it's running rough' and when I started it...indeed it was. I suspected foul play from then on because I'm aware of such practices. That is one reason I always work on my own vehicles, another reason would be, cost. I had the part (heater hose) so I paid the $100 of labor, just for the convenience. I took it home and began inspecting -primarily the emission hoses. After a few minutes, I noticed a clean spot on a hose port which looked as though the hose has been removed. The only nearby emission hose long enough to make this port's connection was attached to a diaphragm close by. I searched around the diaphragm and found a disconnected hose tucked under the diaphragm. He disconnected the hose from the dust free port-that I first noticed- and hooked it to the diaphragm while tucking the diaphragm hose out of sight. When I made the necessary corrections... the car was fine and shortly thereafter, passed smog. I want to also point out that the heater hose was on the other side of the car and that no access would be provided from the area of my discoveries. The port ITSELF with the missing hose was clear across the other side next to the fender. Been working on my vehicles and reading service manuals since my first car and there is no way it was accidental. I didn't bother to call him to complain. I was just glad I found the problem. These type of malpractice exists folks. This incident reminded me of a 20/20 OR 60 minutes undercover report my father and I were watching back in the early 80's when I was about 12 years. I never forgot it. Use caution when going to a mechanic. Bring someone with you if you're not savvy."
"Got my back!! Gary & his worker guy, (Sorry I can't remember his name) always try to find the easiest and least costly way to set up your car. They also really know what they're doing. They will not hesitate to show you the gross stuff that comes out of your fuel filter. They are also good at spotting which of your parts are still original. They are community servers who will always try to find the best possible way to accommodate your economy. They know their stuff. Therefore, they are always busy. I would call ahead if possible."
