I've been fixing my own vehicles for over 50 years since I did my first transmission swap at age 17 on a '70 Volkswagen Beetle. Basically, I could never find an honest mechanic who I trusted to do the job as well as I could, and who would charge a fair price for the effort. Finally with Auto Japan, and Oakmont Garage I don't have to pick up a wrench again, and can rest assured that the job will be done correctly. Vaughn is an expert mechanic, who won't try to upsell you on additional maintenance jobs. In fact, quite the opposite, as he has repeatedly suggested postponing some maintenance work until it was actually necessary.
