Sacramento International Airport

"Great airport. Very fast and efficient check-in process and security check points. No long waits like those seen in SeaTac. Full body scanner does not like jeans though. They stopped me twice."

"My hometown airport - Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is the airport I use the most. But mainly for domestic flights. I usually go to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) for international flights because SMF is not very international! The airport has only two International destinations. Guadalajara (GDL) and Vancouver (YVR). SMF is beautiful, and it is not far from Sacramento downtown. TSA usually takes less time than most airports, even without TSA Pre-check. The parking garage is connected to both Terminal A and Terminal B. It is very convenient."

"This is the fourth time in the past year that I have used the Sacramento International Airport to take an early flight. I’ve flown on three different airlines out of the four trips, so it doesn’t matter what part of the airport you are in the standards are equal. The airport is clean and well lit. The bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. Most of the concessions are open early, so getting coffee or breakfast is easy and convenient. TSA and Airport employees are courteous and helpful. (at least that is my experience with them on these four early morning trips) There is no reason to travel all the way down to SFO, if your airline flies out of SMF."

"Sacramento Airport is absolutely comfortable for travelers, not big but big enough to handle all this passengers. All sides are efficient and fast from Check in to the gate approximately 5-10 minutes I like these smaller airports. And TSA pre not more the 1-2 minutes and I was through the security. Shuttle bus to the rental car area was also nice and efficient."
