"Big plate chicken was great! The noodle was not enough maybe due to being so tasty but we did order the large size. The noodle were hand roll and got the right texture! Not so much about the meat pie. Either it is too much onion or the onion is too raw which has that raw onion taste like a salad. The skin was crunch but the onion will burn your eyes while you eat it. We ordered the lamb skewer taste pretty good but $4 per skewer is a little too steep."
"Recently visited this restaurant and had good experience with my family. Meals were delicious, but over spiced. For service I would give 3 stars. They were polite and kind, unfortunately they forgot my bread and water. I had to wait a while. When I asked about breat a waitress said that they forgot about my order. Overall, I liked this restaurant and will visit with friends."
"Uyghur cuisine is an absolute delight of a culinary tradition, and this restaurant holds the honor of introducing it to me. My favorite dish is, of course, the Uyghur polo. This delightful savory-sweet rice pilaf combined with an earthy lamb is now one of my favorite dishes of all time. The house special tea is fantastic as well. A cardamom rose blend, as far as I could tell. Fantastically unique and wonderfully refreshing. I could drink it for the rest of my life and have no complaints. It even comes in a gorgeous teapot and teacup. Other can't-misses include their homemade noodles and naan. If you're in the area, this gem is absolutely worth a visit."
"-1 star because Manta meat had a lot of cartilage in it, so it felt like low quality meat. And Polo fried rice had very little meat in it. But the taste was still great, and I know I will come back and have it again. I needed more protein so tried some Lamb skewers - very decent. Honey cake was good, but a bit dried out from sitting in the display case for a while. Enjoyed the tea as well. So, everything was good, but not very good, probably because restaurant is trying to keep prices down, which is understandable, so more people will be able try Uyghur cuisine."
"I’ve tried the Dolan’s in Alhambra many times, and it’s been one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Thank God they finally opened up a location in Rowland Heights which is closer to me and the food quality holds up the same. My friends and I now have a tradition to come here for birthdays. I absolutely love their food and I’m obsessed with everything from their cucumber garlic salad to their beef/lamb pies, even the one that’s baked with cheese and comes with the yogurt dip, their big plate chicken and Laghman noodles!!! We finally tried stir fried green beans this last time plus the lamb kebabs - everything was to die for as always. The honey cake paired perfectly with the Dolan’s special tea!!! I can’t wait to come back and bring more friends and family! Highly recommend and definitely one of the best restaurants in LA!!"
