"Went to check this place out with my family for an early supper. It was fairly easy to find. It sits on the end of a strip center with a few other places in the lot. Upon entering there a foul odor. Not sure what it was be we decided to try the place anyways. The woman that assisted me was nice. I was super bummed because they were out of quite a bit of items. Things like flour tortillas, potatoes, fish taco filling and more. We really wanted to try their burritos and carne asada fries but we settled for the taco plate and nachos with a cookie for dessert. The inside only had high top tables that seat just two people so we had to sit outside. It was cold and sprinkling this evening and their outdoor heaters were out of order but we dined outdoors anyway. It wasn’t too bad. There was still a foul odor out in their patio area as well. Let me tell you, the guacamole, meat substitutes that they had and cheese all tasted delicious. The nachos had chips on the edge/outside of the plate with all of the filing in the middle. We didn’t know that so our chips here pretty much gone before we got to the middle of the dish. The beans and rice were good. All the food was seasoned nicely. Nothing had a kick to it though. I spent about $35 for the nachos, the taco plate and the cookie. I wasn’t able to get my itemized receipt printed for what ever reason, so I could only attach their print out. They did have items/merch that could be purchased in the inside and I seen what appeared to be regulars entering and ordering after me."
"Soooo yummy. Closest thing to authentic Mexican food I had before I was vegan :’) the nachos and the potato tacos are amazing"
"I was craving Mexican food but vegan and wow, did this place deliver. I had the 2-taco plate (crispy potato & asada) w/ rice & beans. with a side of chips and red, green and habanero salsas. 100% would get the crispy potato taco again. The shell was a bit puffy, which was awesome, and has house-made cheese, was very crispy and delicious. It would make a perfect pairing with birria if they had that. I wasn't a fan of the asada taco (reminded me too much of steak which I guess is the point lol) so I will most likely try the hibiscus or cauliflower taco next time or just get more crispy potato tacos. The rice and beans could be more flavorful but that could just be my preference. The salsas were good, and the habanero was really spicy! Which was what I wanted anyway. I didn't need the outdoor heater on bc that salsa turned my body temp up way high. Pay with cash to get a discount! You order at the counter (the person was friendly & patient even though she was getting calls left & right and people lining up!) And if dining in, someone brings it to you on a reusable plate. Pictured is my travel fork that I keep in the trunk of my car. My recommendations for improvement would be to offer draft beers (but I understand it requires getting a liquor license) in reusable glasses, offer reusable silverware, and allow people to bring their own containers for drinks. All in all, would recommend for anyone who has a hankering for Mexican food! Bonus points for posting crisis hotlines in the restroom."
"I wanted some good vegan mexican food today and I heard about this place so I decided to check it out. Their menu has many options so it was definitely hard to choose. The menu is very hard to see due to the glare of the monitors and the screen but it worked out. After the great debate babe and I decided upon the enchilada Plate, 2 potato tacos and 1 chorizo taco. My enchilada Plate did NOT disappoint. It was fully loaded, the portion size was great.. it was large and in charge lol. It came with 3 enchiladas topped with lettuce and pico de gallo and rice and beans..everything was delicious!!. The enchiladas were not hard or greasy and it definitely hit the spot. The potato tacos were better than the chorizo taco but both were good. I felt like the potato tacos should have had extra cashew crema on them to kick it up a notch but they were REALLY good. The chorizo taco had a little spice to it but it didn't compare to the potato tacos. The patio area is small and can get crowded so if you're dining in be sure to grab a table upon arrival if you're with friends. I haven't came across many mexican vegan restaurants that were top notch but this one is hands down!!. It will satisfy your non vegan family, friends or co workers and they wouldn't even know it's vegan unless you tell them lol. I will be back tomorrow to venture off into something else. Check them out if you're in Costa Mesa, you won't be sorry."
"Let's make this a short review and straight to the point. Food was good but for me too salty. The problem I have with some Vegan food is that they try to over flavor it, or deep fry it to compensate for the lake of tasty animal flesh. This food IS good but just not the healthy vegan stuff I was looking for. Give them a try and I would recommend getting the Chile relleno. Cheers"
