Reviews of Pelicana Chicken - City of Industry
"Pelicana Chicken is one of the best places you can go for authentic Korean Fried Chicken! I loved that they had a nice seating area which is sometimes the tradeoff you get from going to other KFC restaurants like BBQ Chicken. I appreciated the complementary cabbage salad they gave us and the generous amount of pickled radish. It's the little things that count! We ordered pelicana shaken fries which were AMAZING and well seasoned, and crispy wings in garlic and signature sauce. Both were yummy but I wish the signature sauce had a little more tangy flavor to it. Overall, if you're a lover of K.F.C. or you just need a good spot to chat it up with your friends and have a few beers, Pelicana is definitely worth a try!"
"Went for the first time because of the Honkai Star Rail game collaboration. I knew this was a popular chain in Korea and have always wanted to try it. This place seemed newer and also on the smaller side, located in the city of Industry. The staff did a pretty okay job - they were really friendly and helpful though. Food wise, the food was really good. We got two sets of the HSR combination, which comes with a choice of sauce, fries and mozzarella balls. As for the sauce, we got the signature and the garlic. The chicken itself was super crunchy, and the sauces were good. Though, in my opinion, garlic was overpowered as it did taste of garlic spice eventually. The fries were good as well, and the cheese balls were perfectly fried and cheesy. I also absolutely loved the radish (though our combo didn't include it, we had to ask for it). We also ordered the lemonade - peach and strawberry and both were very deceiving in color but delicious. They didn't have the acrylic stands we were here for, but that's okay. I guess it's an excuse to try the Buena Park location, which is closer to me."
"Came here for the honkai star rail collab event, but the food was still pretty great! Fries are pretty standard, but the fried chicken was very juicy and well sauced. The cheese balls are unexpectedly sweet, which makes for kind of a dessert type of food. Was a little pricey for the set meal, but it's a promotions thing, so not really that surprised. Overall though, it's a decent Korean chicken place, I'd definitely come back if I was craving it!"
"Pelicana The wings place we wanted to try was closed it was good that I found Pelicana. We were welcomed by the young employee as we entered and told us to sit anywhere we chose. There was just another table occupied by a couple so it was not hard to find seating. While we were pondering what to order she came back to bring two cups of iced water and a side of cabbage salad. We ordered their Banban whole chicken. Half original ceispy and half with spicy hot sauce, Ddukbokki, and Peli cheese balls. The chicken was really crispy on the outside while the meat was tender and juicy. The spicy hot sauce started off as mild, then surprised us with the heat as we continued to eat. The Peli cheese balls had a slightly sweet outer crust that complemented the salty, melty cheese inside. The Ddukbokki was really tasty. It came with fish cakes and cabbage mixed in. I dipped the cheese ball in the Ddukbokki sauce and it was so good. Parking was free and easily available in this shared plaza of various businesses."
"First time here and it won't be the last, food was delicious, cheese balls are my favorite. Quality of food is good and we didn't have to wait long. The servers had a great attitude and made us feel welcome."
