Reviews of Award Wieners
"The food was decently good . We got some carne asada fries with a green salsa that were pretty decent . However the star of the show was the dessert. We had a cookie dough funnel cake . It was so crispy, made fresh and was perfect as far as serving size/sweetness ! I would get the dessert again ."
"I neglected to take a photo since I’d gotten quite motion sick after a ride, and knew I needed food ASAP… I got the original hot dog with filmstrip fries. I’m not a big hot dog fan, but I needed food that wasn’t too heavy and I needed it fast. The bun was unlike anything I’d had on a hot dog before, it was a thick piece of toasted brioche bread. The hot dog was juicy and had the right amount of spices. The filmstrip fries were warm and not too crunchy or salty, this meal hit the spot! It’s not a lot of food, so I wouldn’t say it’s shareable unless you just want a light snack. I get why this is listed as one of the best hot dog places at DCA (if that’s what you want). Surprisingly, I didn’t mobile order and my food was ready within a couple of minutes. There were plenty of tables and chairs when I went. I’d eat here again! Also, I got a Pumpkin Mickey Glow cube, it’s a cute fun souvenir!"
"Te Ka Dog (seasonal): Get! Whoa, a messy overstuffed hotdog with a kick! Stuffed in a roll bun and not really a hotdog bun, this hotdog is spicy, saucy, and very in your face if you're into that (I am). The hotdog itself is so much longer than the bun and topped with these crispy fluffy chips. Honestly, you'll probably have to move to knife a fork. Fries are not bad but unremarkable It's not cheap and for $16 dollars it's not really worth it either. But as a seasonal offering I don't regret my choice and maybe I'll come back for their normal menu items next time. Food: 8/10 Value: 4/10"
"For Disney food, I thought it was pretty good. Tried their chili dog and carne asada fries. Was it overpriced? Of course it was. Was it made in large batches? Of course it was. Are the flavors milder to appease the masses? Again, of course but one of the better meals in my experience. About $23 and it was enough to last the two of us most of the night :)"
"I finally felt in the mood for a hot dog and seeing the art deco look of Award Wieners my husband and I decided to have lunch here. I was wondering where the dining area was and I saw a group of tables under cover of Mickey's Philhar Magic. That was perfect for me because I was debating whether or not to get the chili dog. Instead of doing mobile order with the line not being overly long I ordered at the counter. I got the plant based Philly dog and fries for my husband and ordered the bacon street dog for myself. The bacon street dog comes with red pepper, grilled onions, ketchup, bell peppers and bacon crumbles. The Philly dog is topped with mushroom, grilled onions, and peppers with a crema. Regular all beef hot dogs are also available to order. The hot dogs come with a side of fries which are filmstrip shaped. If you want to doctor them up then you could order it as a side known as Asada. Mobile ordering is available here. It took about 15 minutes to get the food and we sat down to enjoy it. This was one of the best hot dogs I had in a long time! The fries were good too. Not too greasy and loved the shape of them. My husband enjoyed his vegan Philly dog and told me it tasted good. The food wasn't overly filling and I was glad since we had a big dinner ahead of us."
