Reviews of Silverlake Ramen LBX
"The food is actually very good here, it's the service that needs alot of work. Everytime i've come here something is missing, and getting someone to help you is a nightmare. Last night had to ask for a coke 3 times till finally going back into the resturant and asking did you forget a 4th time. The server decided this warranted trying to give himself a 50% tip by handing me a tablet with a custom amount he entered already entered and it just clicked on the signature portion. Called in to report this and got told no we just do 20% we don't do the custom amount option, which again yes this server did. The food is good but the headache that you will get trying to deal with the staff will make you realize go to any of the 50 ramen options in long beach. Really sucks guys the food is good, all you gotta do is check on your tables bring what people order and not try and steal. Shouldn't be an issue but here we are."
"This place has really good food but the quality of the food is a hit or miss. Sometimes the pork meat has so much fat and very little meat. I dont like the meat too fatty and but at times it seems like I get mostly fat. Other than that, the Blaze is really good."
"The ramen’s broth is the best. They have a variety of ramen’s bowls to choose from. Customer service was great. It’s self seated and you can order to go. The parking is shared with other stores on that strip."
"Mediocre Experience at Silverlake Ramen I recently visited Silverlake Ramen and ordered the two classic ramen bowls, one with chicken and the other with pork, along with Chicken Karaage and California rolls. While the ramen noodles stood out, the overall experience left much to be desired. Starting with the California rolls, they lacked the freshness and flavor I expected. They felt like store-bought rolls, and to make matters worse, we weren’t provided soy sauce until after we received the check. This oversight was disappointing. The Chicken Karaage was a letdown as well. It mainly consisted of fat and had a chewy texture, which didn’t align with our expectations. It fell short of delivering the crispy, flavorful karaage we hoped for. On the brighter side, the ramen noodles themselves were great. They had a pleasing texture and were undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. My partner even enjoyed her broth, although I found mine to be too milky. Nevertheless, I understand that this is a characteristic of the style of ramen they serve. The beer selection, specifically the Asahi, was a saving grace. It provided a refreshing accompaniment to the meal and added a positive note to the overall experience. One positive aspect worth mentioning is that Silverlake Ramen is pet-friendly. If you want to dine with your furry friend, this restaurant offers that convenience. When it comes to the service, it was instead cut and dry. While we didn’t encounter any significant issues, it lacked the personal touch that would have made our visit more memorable. Overall, the service was forgettable and didn’t leave a lasting impression. In summary, my experience at Silverlake Ramen was mediocre. While the ramen noodles and beer stood out, the California rolls fell short, the Chicken Karaage was disappointing, and the service was unremarkable. If you’re in the area and craving ramen, there may be better options to consider."
"New location for S.L.R. They have a Tatsu Style ordering process now, I’m not a fan of it considering the lines get long standing there. Broth taste creamy & the noodles were good, can’t recall the chashu taste The karaage chicken was delicious. I would come back."
