"The crew were lovely. They were enthusiastic and knowledgeable and kind. We saw two species of dolphin and the sea lions. I loved how enthusiastic the crew was about each siting and how welcome they made the passengers feel in that element. By far the best thing I did on (well, off) the island."
"Such an amazing dive experience! I did a discover dive for my birthday with my best friend and boyfriend (since they aren’t certified so they could try it) and wow such an incredible time!! Our divemaster and photographer were so wonderful and friendly. If you already love diving or just want to try it out and see, would highly recommend coming here. My best friend didn’t end up loving it once she got in the water so they got her a snorkel instead and were so kind and understanding when working with her. Me and my boyfriend had a great time under water, and this is now one of my favorite birthday experiences. I definitely want to go back sometime and see what else there is to see in the waters of Catalina Island but the kelp forest and all three cool fish were immaculate and I adored every minute of it."
"My family and I (family of 4) just got Scuba certified a month ago in Az. So we got certified in a dirty lake with horrible visibility. Then we thought what next, and where is a good beautiful place to go for a first dive after being certified. We heard Catalina Island Casino Point is an easy dive, not too far away for us, and would make a great first dive spot that's pretty too! Since it was our first time diving, for the first 2 dives we paid for a guided tour. Suzy the Diving Trainer who took us on the dives was amazing! My wife was a little nervous but she made her feel comfortable and we had an awesome time! The tour prices were also good compared to other dive centers. All of us ended up comfortable enough to do two more dives by ourselves the very next day! It was a great dive trip!"
"The staff was really helpful and flexible when our group required specific adjustments. We rent snorkeling gear from 9:00 am to 16:00 pm. There are stairs that makes water very accessible. There were tones of fish and the water was peaceful on the weekday morning. The goggle was fine but not particularly clear, and my feet hurts after wearing the rental fins for several hours. For your information, the restroom near the water was not really clean, would recommend using the restroom near the shop before putting on your wet suit. In addition, water resource seems to be limited on the island. We could not find a place to rinse of sand with clear water."
"I completed the AOW training last week and had a great time. Chelsea is an excellent instructor. Very thorough, great attitude and commited to making you a better diver. Five really good dives at the Dive Park. Suzy (another instructor) joined us on a couple of dives and brought her GoPro and sent me some great pics. I did my OW training with CDS a few years back and had a great experience as well. They all do a great job! Highly recommend!!"
