Reviews
"I am prefacing this review by stating the I just stopped by here for a quick drink (no food) as I was checking out the The Point, the shopping a mall that contains Lil' Simmzy's. I at first did not realize they actually serve some of their own beers, but once I saw that I went with their Hazy IPA option. Along with that I also got a cocktail, the Paloma. The beer was pretty good, standard along with most the other Hazy IPA's that I've had. I'll say that this one was a little less hoppy than others I've had. The Paloma was one of the better ones I have tasted. It's made with mezcal instead of the usual tequila, so you can taste that "smokey" difference which I find people either enjoy or don't. I like the ancho salt rim on the drink, both for taste & look. Service was pretty good and the place has a relaxed beachy vibe and nice overall feel. I think it's all outside seating which is fitting for the overall vibe and works well for being in the The Point. Ordered at the counter and self seated. I'd come here again to sip on a drink while I take a break from shopping. The only one, somewhat larger, somewhat understandable downfall was the amount of dust at the table. When I grabbed a napkin, I noticed how dirty my hands got just from touching it due to the amount of dust/dirt in general at the table since it's outside seating. Cheers!"
"The vegan taco option was not good. It wasn’t nasty, but it just had no flavor. It also doesn’t come with salsa. I couldn’t finish it. The sweet potato fries could’ve used more salt. The ketchup tasted weird. The employees were friendly though. A boba, fries & two tacos costs me $27, not worth it."
"Great outdoor vibe for a lunch date with the hubby. We enjoy the food. Be patient because the food doesn’t come out especially fast, but it’s to be expected when the food is fresh and cooked to order. The management is attentive and always checks in with customers, which is nice. We come here every chance we get."
"I recently dined at Lil' Simmzy's on the Deck at The Point and I have to say, it was a unique and enjoyable experience. I wouldn't compare it to the original Simmzy's in Manhattan Beach as it has its own distinct vibe. Although the price was a bit steep, you are definitely paying for the atmosphere and a great burger and drinks. The burger and drinks were the stars of the meal and lived up to the hype. The smoky grill flavor was delicious and truly elevated the burger to one of the best I've had at a restaurant in the area. The Asada fries were not up to par but that did not detract from the overall experience. The service was great and the staff were friendly. It's a happy, lively place with a lot of energy and children running around, so if you're looking for a more laid-back dining experience this might not be the place for you. However, if you're in the mood for a delicious burger and a fun atmosphere, I highly recommend checking out Lil' Simmzy's on the Deck at The Point"
"Casual spot in the center of The Point. Came here for drinks with coworkers on a Thursday evening. I was peeved to find that they do accept reservations, though when I had called the day before, the worker told me that no reservations were accepted. I was unable to make a reservation online as well. However, there was not just one, but two tables sequestered by reservation signs, and my group of 12 had to make do with two small tables and borrowing chairs from multiple other tables. That was definitely inconvenient. There’s no happy hour menu. There are plenty of beer options. The pitcher of sangria is good for four people and is good as a refreshing summer drink. The food portions are on the smaller side, so order more than you think. The wings and the haystack fries were the popular options of the night. The karaage chicken was okay and the guacamole was standard. Credit cards are accepted. Free parking available in the outside parking lot. Kid-friendly spot. Outdoor dining only."
