Reviews of Giorgio Baldi
"Very nice restaurant and the staff were friendly. The food was not as great as I expected. The fact of not having a liquor license put a damper at the end. I always would like to have a digestive. The pasta with garlic and olive oil was ruined by the fish eggs that were added. The dessert was not that palatable especially the tiramisu. The veal cutlet was good.."
"Quite delicious but certainly smaller portions which demand higher price points. Easy to see why it is a popular restaurant regardless"
"Best veal I've ever had,all 4 of us was our 1st time and we stayed 5 hours great time we had a great handsome Italian waiter..last Friday"
"Food and service are very good. But the main dining room is too cramped and it's very loud so difficult to have any conversation. The langostine pasta was delicious but the tomato sauce too sweet for my taste. Will try the bottarga next time. The flourless chocolate cake was a dud. Dry and bland and in desperate need of butter and cream to replace the flour... Great wine list."
"Call to make an RSVP, and it was easy, but I wish they could update to new systems that can do online instead. Seems old fashion when check-in is still with paper. The restaurant is packed, and some dishes are overpriced. Foods were great, but not that excellent and impressive. They have in & outdoor and also patio seating, where they turn the parking lots into dine-in areas. It's great to see the business blooming, but it might be cold since it's in Santa Monica. We ordered Carpaccio di Manzo alla Salsa di Tartofo (aka Sliced raw beef Carpaccio)- $38, which was 4/5, Aragosta di Gio' (Maine Lobster salad) - $40 - 4/5, Spaghetti Bottarga $31 - 4/5, Grilled Vegetables $22, Rissoto Paveron $35 - 5/5. The breads were low quality and old olive oil, 1/5. Overall, the service was decent but slow. My friend surprised me by telling the restaurant, and they brought the tiramisu out, which was sweet. However, the pic or video showed a bit of sloppy ice cream. I don't know what happened, but the tiramisu was a bit old taste and low quality. The restaurant might not be on my list if people ask me where they MUST go to eat."
