Reviews of Café Crêpe
"Amazing vegan options. The plant power crepe was the perfect savory compliment to the sweet crepes. Great coffee too. On Sundays the wait was incredibly long. Wear layers and bring a buddy to chat with. Definitely worth the wait. Incredible service. We ate out for most meals during our 4 days in Big Bear, and this was our favorite restaurant. Hands down the best breakfast and great for allergies/food sensitivity"
"A Little French Haven in Big Bear I stumbled upon Café Crêpe in Big Bear, and honestly, it's like finding a little piece of France right in the mountains. This place isn’t just about eating; it’s about experiencing some real French vibes in a super cozy spot. First off, the location is just adorable. It's tucked away in a spot that’s both picturesque and super chill. When you walk in, the staff greet you like old friends. They’re super helpful, especially when you’re trying to navigate the menu with dietary restrictions. They’ve got a bunch of options for anyone who's vegan, gluten-free, or just trying to eat a bit healthier. Now, let’s talk about the food. The crêpes are out-of-this-world good. Whether you go sweet or savory, you can tell they use fresh, quality ingredients. But the coolest part? They’ve got special treats for dogs! That’s right, you can actually bring your pup along and treat them too. In a nutshell, Café Crêpe is this awesome mix of great location, super friendly service, and amazing food. It's perfect for pretty much anyone – whether you’re a hardcore foodie, someone with specific dietary needs, or just looking for a nice place to chill with your dog. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and craving a little taste of France."
"My favorite coffee shop in Big Bear! So delicious. I like that they have more items on the menu than your average small coffee shop. The wait time can get long during weekends. Ever since I tried the coffee here for the first time (it was a latte with pistachio), I make it a stop every time I'm in Big Bear."
"Figured a small shop would be quick, but the opposite was true. Only come here if you have time to kill. No wait for drinks but 30 min wait for a single crepe, wound up being an hour. Decent stuff but not worth a long wait. Cute little patio to sit and enjoy though."
"Decent food. Poor service. Ordered 4 crepes and 1 hot mocha. After 30 minutes, we hadn't heard anything and noticed that people who ordered after us were getting their drinks. So I went up and asked, and they notified me that their computer system went down and they lost my order. I understand that this can happen, but they kept serving all others before and after me and didn't apologize for the inconvenience. I'm not expecting them to "bend over backwards" for ANY customer, but if something goes wrong on your end, a simple apology goes a long way. Most customers understand! Ended up waiting 50 minutes for 4 crepes, with 1 of the crepes being the wrong one. Overall, the crepes and coffee were decent. Nothing groundbreaking, but a good light breakfast. But I wouldn't recommend this place unless you want to spend over an hour at a coffee shop. Also, wish they had more savory crepe options."
