Casa Nostra Ristorante Westlake Village

"Last week was my first time to dine at Casa Nostra. To my surprise the owner greeted us at the reservation desk, and when he heard it was our first time he immediately told our waiter to take good care of us. The owner even checked back in with us after our appetizer's. We had incredible service by our waiter and the whole staff! All of us really enjoyed what we ordered. Deserts were awesome. You can count on that we will be back soon."

"It’s hard to believe that people go to this place for the food! When we walked him, we are pleasantly surprised the atmosphere was great, and we are ready to enjoy your night. The service was OK in that waiter was very nice. I ordered the bread short rib with the mushroom risotto and my husband ordered the stuffed shrimp tortellini dish. The breeze short rib was horrible. The only thing I can compare it to is mutton.! The stuffed shrimp tortellini was fishy so all around we were very disappointed. We went back-and-forth with a couple next to us whether we should say anything, and when the manager came over, I explained that the breeze short rib was jiggly and had no taste, but the risotto in the sauce was OK. His response was two out of three isn’t bad. !!! Kind of weird we have never been hit with that response because he was so serious. We also ordered the calamari which had no flavor in the marinara sauce was poorly season and liquidy like water. On top of all that the bread was served cold. We have yet to find a good Italian food restaurant in the Thousand Oaks area and we will definitely not be returning here. Good luck with your food."

"What a find. Casa Nostra Ristorante is located in an industrial center and is quite a little gem. My wife and I had a reservation for dinner this evening, and it was simply amazing. We arrived, and the gracious host seated up a wonderful romantic table for two. We met our server, Garrett, who took our drink order as well as an appetizer. We started with the eggplant souffle, and my wife had a Peroni Beer, and I ordered a glass of Borolo Roche. The appetizer, bread, and drinks were so good. We then ordered our entrees. My wife had the Branzino, and I had the braised short rib. Both dishes were prepared and presented perfectly and served hot and tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and conversation. Awesome food. I finished with a cappuccino and we took two orders of meatballs home with us. What a fantastic place and very popular. I'm so glad we found it. Highly recommended."

"first off.... very odd entrance because you feel like you are coming into an executive office complex. I went here on Saturday night as they opened at 5 and we had our choice of table anywhere. We were greeted well and the service was excellent but the experience fell short expectations. we were told the menu had been reduced to only the things the do best and it used to be much larger. Good sign. right? NOT!! beef carpaccio with burrata was simply OK. you could tell it was all pre prepared and not freshly sliced. the Mista salad was simply so so. The Carbonara pasta was literally terrible. i have bever been more dissapointed with a carbonara in my life. I almost sent it back but I simply have issues doing that after my ex eife being a server and knowing what they do in the back on your next dish in even thr fanciest of placea sometimes. I at but just a quarter of it. The lamb shank with Rissotto was the most delicious for sure. that was my second choice but felt inwould go with my gut the tiramisu was good. overall, I would come back for the ambiance and service but I would never get the carbonara or carpaccio again and I would try other things for sure. shame that there are such high ratings on this restaurant."

"Excellent food, atmosphere and live music! Our waiter was actually from Italy and, although he was a little bit hard to understand with his accent, it added to the authenticity of the venue! It's absolutely beautiful inside so don't be dissuaded by the location being on the middle street of industrial area! It's really a hidden gem of Westlake village!"
