"Only place to fly out and in from Humboldt as I know of commercially. Nobody ever pays attention to the signs saying "no waiting," but everyone waits by the sign and receives no consequences, which is kind of hilarious. 5 stars because signs are clearly a suggestion, and everyone there is really, really nice."
"Great little airport, fantastic service. Love the Little Free Library. Reminds me of flying in to Ontario, CA in the 70s and Montrose, CO in the late 90s."
"I have been flying in and out of this airport for a little over ten years with zero complaints. Baggage claim is as easy and pain-free as can be and security takes all of 5 minutes. From car to gate takes about 10 minutes without checking bags. Rental cars are plentiful through National/Enterprise and Avis also opened a new location on site. Weather can be a cause of delays and cancelations during the foggier times of the year but there is word of upgrading to a ILS CAT III so hopefully those issues will be drastically reduced. Hope to see the day they add a tower"
"Flew in on a small general aviation aircraft. Runways are in a good condition and GA parking well marked. There is no FBO on the field, but self serve fuel is available. Rest of the facilities are in the terminal building which is accessed via a gate nearby with a return gate code. Overnight fee is $15. The terminal building is fairly modern with all the expected facilities. The surrounding area is spectacular for aerial views, but plan for the marine layer during the morning."
"Great airport with multiple airlines, variety of amenities and great artwork to see, and information about cool area sights to see, including trails and parks. Great coffee shop when open. Checkout the observation area upstairs, very cool! Even a free library !"
