Reviews of The Noypitz Bar and Grill
"Food was okay but the size makes up for all the ordinary taste of food samplers and entrees they served our table. Atmosphere was great because they have live band, dances, and allow children presence there which I totally love being a parent of a little child. I could not give more than 1 star review for the experience I had with all of their servers though. The servers have attitude of not giving a s@#t of you as customers. Showed up once when we seated and took our orders. Other than that, nobody came to ask how we doing or even bother to fulfill extra orders we had make. So as a paying costumer I definitely am disappointed with the careless attitude from all of their servers. I had to chase them to remind them for the extra orders we made, even then it wasn't placed. So I didn't even bother waiting to see if our party will get the extra beers and sisig we ordered. Even asking for our bill was so hard to ask as I have to repeat myself three times to three different servers about it. I gave them tips of 20 percent still because we do have 8 people on our party. I spent hundreds of dollars tonight, but the service we get was disappointing and a lack of better words, awful. It will be difficult to convince myself to come back or recommend people olin my circle to come visit this place. The live performance is the only thing i would say worth the visit."
"Service sucks here. We waited almost an hour for our food to come to the table. They serve the food individually. By the time we were done with one dish, they bring another dish to the table. It seems like there is only one chef and one serve. Don’t come here if you are hungry because you will be waiting for an hour and half for your food to come."
"We took my mom here today for her birthday. The ambiance was nice and welcoming. Staff was friendly. Parking was across the street, but it wasn't a far walk. The food was a bit overpriced, but I guess that's expected when dining at an authentic restaurant, so I'm not complaining. The food could have been better though. The crispy pata was overcooked and dry, the Kare Kare was a bit too "peanuty" for my liking, the gulaman tasted like we were drinking straight syrup and we could barely drink the jelly through the straw because they were too thick and frozen. The vegetable lumpia, pancit canton, and chicken inasal were tasty. Overall...I'd come here again, but it honestly wouldn't be my first choice for Filipino dining."
"Dining at this restaurant at lunchtime on a weekend was a pleasant experience. There were no crowds, service was fairly quick and efficient. Our waitress was very personable and helpful in describing the restaurant's most popular offerings. Our little family decided on fishballs for appetizers, the Noypitz platter as the main course, with beef sinigang to round things up. The fishballs were not the fishballs of my youth and they were served with sweet chili sauce which was a point against the dish. The platter items were ok too. The pancit was tasty, the lumpia tiny and slightly anemic in color, the calamari wasn't crunchy enough. I think the fried chicken quarter was supposed to be Max's inspired and it was decent. My hubby liked the crispy Pata which had crunchy-enough skin. For dessert we had the halohalo and a slice of sans rival. The cake was pretty to look at and hit the spot, but we've had better. The merengue layers were too dry and crumbly (I'm a decent cook and baker). Hubby liked the halohalo despite it having candied beans (he's used to Cebu style halohalo, which he says has no beans and has more fruits). There's a lot of other things on the menu that we would like to try on another visit. I will update my review at that time. But for the location, ambiance and service, Noypitz is a place you can proudly take non-Filipino friends to for an introduction to our cuisine. I hear the place pops at night when the band plays. Maybe do it then to showcase our food and our karaoke skills."
"Noypitz is a Filipino Bar and Grill restaurant with live band music. They’re located at a large plaza in WestCovina. It’s inside was huge and very spacious with classy vibe and good ambiance. They offer a wide variety traditional Filipino food. We came here with friends and ordered some Filipino food. Service was mildly slow. Staff were very warm, nice and professional. Prices were fair and matched the food portions. Plenty of Parking space at the garage. Overall, it’s a beautiful bar and restaurant. I will definitely come back to experience their live band music."
