"Went for dinner and ordered a Wellington. The filet was very tender but the steak itself didn’t have much flavor. It was really masked by the blue cheese. The pastry was well cooked and the mushroom Demi glaze was fine. All the sauces were perhaps more than I bargained for. Next time I would try the plain filet. The twice baked potato was good, as was the potato leak soup. The mudd pie was the star dish."

"Always on point, always consistent, nice lighting on the dark side which gives you the old school steakhouse vibe.. great date spot or a spot to hang with friends.. Best Steak House Around! The owners, Blake and Tess are so hospitable.. the menu does not have anything I haven’t loved! Classy bar area also! Drinks were great, it has it all!"

"I was here for a company holiday party and will definitely visit again for when I'm in the Thousand Oaks area. Wonderful service and delicious nibbles and drinks (especially the drinks - very well made). I ended up getting some coconut shrimp to-go.. so yummy. I look forward to a happy hour here. "Ive been to Holdrens a few times now, Most the time its a great experience 5/5 food and a great atmosphere. However, our last experience, we ordered over 5 plates of food, all of which were just "meh" or worse. The cocktails were still great and the waitstaff was very attentive but there was also an awkwardness in the air. no music playing just quiet with okay food. since my other 2 times here were great, I'll have to try it again to verify if this place has just gone down."

"Went there for happy hour yesterday and had the cheeseburger for $16. It was delicious. Met some new friends there. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Overall great experience! Definitely will be back for some juicy steaks."
