Reviews
"I crave the jalapeno lime carne asada plate - that's how good it is. The marinade is extremely flavorful, and the baked potatoes and grilled corn on the cob are delicious. (It's hands-down my favorite dish of any Mexican restaurant.) Overall, I really enjoy The Alamo. It's not fancy but very laid-back and comfortable, and the service is always great. I'll keep going back, and you should too!"
"Went yesterday 2/18 and the host was the host and the waitress. She was on her cell phone more than anything, so service is very slow, and getting bad. The food is always great, and chips and salsa is damn good. The churro was still frozen inside, and sour cream was just nasty looking and tasting."
"Sometimes they ask you to pay for music….which is very odd. Without music the place is very quiet and sounds like you are at work….pretty lame. I think the bar should provide music and allow the customers to override if they want to pay. Maybe add some candles or lamps for some better ambience"
"Decided to give Alamo one more try after a 20 year hiatus. Elizabeth server was friendly but no one to assist her. Unfortunately food was as bland as before. Elizabeth did not alert me that there was an upcharge for all verde sauce vs one green/one red. She did tell us there is a charge for additional chips but would give us a few more at n/c. Had small guac - that was good. Chile relleno, cheese enchillada, ground beef taco, rice beans all bland. Our of sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio ok. beer good."
"Came for Happy Hour No Happy Hour Ordered a combination plate, lots of beans and rice with my enchiladas… taco was good but super greasy meat… when the bill came they nickeled and dime us… including charging 2.00 for another basket of chips! I complained and the manger took it off the bill…"
