"I ordered the chicken noodle soup and mango sticky rice. The people were friendly and so is Haven City Market but this was by far the worst Thai food I have ever had in my life. The soup tasted like a whole container of salt was dumped into it, also the mango sticky rice was stale and tasteless minus the mangos. I called and asked gave them an opportunity to correct the order and they offered a 15% discount on my next order. I spent $25 dollars of food that I cannot eat. Hard pass. Won't be returning."
"Bought the beef jerky large full size. It was the smallest portion I've ever seen. When I went back the guy said that's how it is, and he knows it's super small.. but that's how the owners portion it. Judge for yourself if it's worth $10.."
"Good food brings back mom's cooking. Taste great, but service did suffer because there was a 2 hour wait, unsure if it's from being too busy because of the artist being there or because of st Patrick day events. There were other restaurants there that wasnt as busy. Still enjoyed that place because i got to talk to some artists who came for an event that weekend for sabaideefest. Met some nice people while we waited to get food. Rap artists like gumby, k1, Johnny olsen, lae laostha, and a couple of others. Will visit again when i go back to LA in May."
"I was extremely excited to try this place with my sister. We were looking for some good ol traditional Laos dish. We ordered papaya salad, chicken wings, Lao sausage, meatballs, Nam khao, basil noodle, & coconut with mango & sticky rice desert. The papaya salad was so disappointing. I can smell the crab paste and taste a little bit of sugar besides that there was no flavor at all. It was just plain & unappetizing. The chicken wing, sausage, Nam khao, & basil noodle was delicious. We weren't such a fan of the meatball & coconut with mango & sticky rice dessert. The grain of rice looked like it's been smushed to the bottom of the container & a few scoops of mango ice cream & coconut milk were thrown on top. The presentation & taste was also unappealing. We were expecting sticky rice, fresh mangos with coconut milk. Something more authentic & not quickly put together. The part that blew my mind was when a server came out & dropped my spoon onto the table and used his thumb to wipe it. I asked for a new spoon & he proceeded to the back of the kitchen with the spoon & came back to hand me the exact same spoon while I was watching him the entire time. I told the young gentleman that he gave me the same spoon & he continue to giggle & tell me... "No I promise it's not!!!" I asked him if he understood that theres a pandemic going on & that the spoon was now contaminated & unsanitary due to it falling on to an outdoor table that everyone has sat on and it's apparent these outdoor tables don't get wiped down often & he continue to smile and tell me... "I promise it's a new spoon." To top it off there's 3 of us how were we suppose to eat the dessert with one spoon? Besides that the cashier was sweet & the owner has amazing customer service. The papaya salad definitely needs some work. That's the main dish everyone is so hyped about."
