"Good selection of food and drinks. Great sangria and prickly pear margarita. Wonderful setting and service, Happy customers. Everything was delicious for a late impromptu dinner. Even the chips and salsa were awesome, light and crisp with a well balanced tasty salsa, I did enjoy the consistency of the salsa, different from most places I go to, and I liked it."

"Hands down the absolute worst wanna be Mexican food I have ever had.....and this includes Taco Bell. I started off with a "Happy Hour" draft beer with chips and their rendition of salsa and it was $11. I thanked God that the beer was made elsewhere because 7eleven salsa is better than the tomatoe sauce I had there. Being a chef I would seriously never recommend this place to anyone. My dog who eats droppings at the dog park refused to eat Caliente leftovers."

"Fun and lively place. Service is great. Drinks are tasty. Food is unfortunately average. The queso was really good, but the steak fajitas were cooked well-done and not particularly tender. Come for the atmosphere and drinks, and eat if you want to survive the strong drinks."

"Upscale, Mexican restaurant with natural and real real cocktails and food offerings. Caution: Lake Tahoe has become somewhat of an overcrowded destination, so make sure you make a reservation or you may not be seated. If you’re looking for a great food, and want something nicer than a Taqueria, this place is among the best in the Tahoe. The food here is what you would find a typical sit down upscale, Mexican restaurant. There are burritos w, fajitas, tacos, and delicious plates such as marinated short ribs. The chips and salsa cost money but after five dollars they are unlimited. They are fresh and very spicy. The location here is also pretty impressive. It is a Choot story restaurant, and the second story has a dedicated bar and server table you have use of the lake from the second story and because the bars close drinks come fast. As long as you have a reservation or come during a non-busy hour, you will likely get a seat up here. The parking was easy to find on the street and there are nearby streets to park on, the servers were really friendly and Jung and willing to assist, the restrooms are clean, and everything else was wonderful, I recommend this, if you are looking for a great Mexican restaurant in The Lake, Tahoe, Area."

"Great Location. Great Food. Great Drinks. Okay Service. Overpriced for Portions. Had a lunch reservation and was seated promptly. We got a rooftop patio table overlooking the street facing the lake and had fun people watching. Menu was comical with the name of drinks and descriptions. They seemed understaffed as our server didn't stop by more than the times to get our orders. We got Heart On & Just The Tip (rum) for drinks. For appetizers, we ordered guacamole, which was great but came with small oily thin chips. The ceviche was so delicious but served on top of a single halved avocado (definitely wished for bigger portion when it costs $21.) As for an entree, we split a wet burrito (chicken) that was decent sized and really good. For all of that, our bill came to $100.67 (hence, the 3 stars for overpricing issues)."
