We couldn't decide what we wanted, so we got their "Let's Mug it Up" plate. It feed both of us, and gave us a great sample of all their food. We are completely full, and the price was just right! If you are in Oceanside, I would recommend this place! It's soooo good!"

"My wife and I came to Oceanside for a short getaway. We always look for a new place to eat and found this little place. It's of the main drag and hustle of traffic and tourists. We were pleasantly surprised. The Breakfast Mug wasn't busy and the food was great. We shared a Caprese Omelet with a side of toast, one pancake, and coffee. Our server told us they've been here four years and the owner is preparing to open another restaurant in Carlsbad soon. Best wishes, we will visit again."

"First time just driving by thinking I wanted some breakfast. The place was pretty empty. Just a couple people. Thinking immediately I wanted a breakfast sandwich but maybe should have walked out as soon as I saw the menu and a $14.25 breakfast sandwich! $14.25?! I ordered anyway and it came with a side. I chose hashbrowns. Ok, so the sandwich was pretty sizeable wit ham and avocado but not a lot of flavor otherwise. It some sort of spread on the bread but it wasn't much and I couldn't really get much of what it was. While waiting the waitress did bring out a small saucer of pumpkin soup at no charge and without asking which was nice. The hashbrowns were barely warm, nowhere near hot, and tasted pretty stale. The service seemed good but the price is too much for a large but lacking flavor egg sandwich. Also whatever the coffee brand is, it's a cheap brand. The coffee was not very good. Sandwich and coffee $17 + tax."
