"Great food and ambiance. The staff was really nice and accommodating as soon as we stepped in. I was able to try their kimchi rice balls, roasted delicata, slow shrooms and the jung hul kalbi. Everything was delicious but my two favorites were the slow shrooms and the jung hul kalbi. All the dishes were plated very nicely and I felt like I was eating fine dining! The food was fresh and perfectly seasoned. I'm planning to stop by often because the menu changes periodically so there's always something new to try. I hear they also have a killer brunch!"

"It was my first time here at Kothai! I had a very good experience with both food and service, honestly everything!! The ambiance was also great; very comfy and chill! We ordered 4 dishes and they were all so delicious!! I am not a French toast person in general but the French toast here, which is apparently the most popular dish and it is a must-try dish, was soooo yummy!!! Crispy from the outside but soft and tasty on the inside. Highly recommended if you have not tried them yet :) B&E was also very yummy and tasty; the thicken bacon was soooo glazy and yummy I am down for that dish the next time I am here too! The service is awesome! Both chefs are also very friendly and checked in with every table seated whether everything was okay. They are so down to earth and friendly! We will come back for more!!!"

"One of my top restaurants I’ve tried this year by far - all around one of the best experiences and meals I’ve had. The pork jowl in the spicy noodle is phenomenally cooked but each dish is made with so much thought and care. I personally really enjoyed the apple cheesecake, sea bream crude and Korean spicy noodles! I would highly recommend going brunch or dinner (you can’t go wrong with either)! Definitely a place I would bring amd recommend to anyone visiting sf"

"Kothai is Asian fusion restaurant (Korean/Thai) with a modern take on all dishes. We opted for the fish/seafood options which were all pretty good but not outstanding. The salmon green curry was the highlight and I would definitely order it again. The sea bream crudo with the spicy mango sauce and the hamachi collar was pretty good (collar didn’t taste the freshest though). Kimchi rice balls could have been crispier and had a strange sweetness. Mushrooms were good but the combination with coconut wasn’t anything noteworthy. The decor is pretty simple and prices are reasonable. Service was quick and friendly."

"This place is absolutely amazing. The combination of Thai and Korean flavors is something I never knew I needed until I tried their dishes. Personally, I can't get enough of their Korean spicy noodle with that melt-in-your-mouth pork jowl. And let's not forget the delicious Kimchi rice ball and KoThai Ceviche - so flavorful! The Grilled Hamachi Collar is another must-try item on their menu. I really love about this place is the cozy minimalistic atmosphere. It adds to the overall dining experience and makes me feel right at home. And about the staff, They are incredibly friendly and always make us feel welcome. It's the perfect combination of great food, cozy atmosphere, and amazing service. I can't recommend it enough!"
