Reviews
"Great service at the best prices in the area. Jim, the owner and repairman, is kind, easy going, and friendly. There is always classic rock or blues playing, giving the shop its soul. Jim has decades of experience and will get you back on your bike, riding better than you did before."
"Much appreciation Skip!!! From a cross-country pack cyclist passing thru the area, soon following a significant set of challenges - asking around in town right away heard rave reviews of Skip & his shop... indeed grateful!"
"Bikesmiths is a small local shop owned by a very knowledgable fellow named Skip. He is super friendly and helpful. I rode my bike through an area of bad goat head thorns and got two flats. Skip did not have time to add sealant to my tires right then because he had so many other repairs going already. He gave me some sealant and the applicator and I walked back to the State Beach campground to fix my bike. When I returned the remaining sealant and tools that he leant me, he did not even want payment. I had to make him accept $5. He represents the old school bike shop - helpful, kind and the kind of guy you would want to marry your sister!"
"This is a great little bike shop with a terrific owner Skip. I left home in SLO without packing gloves and Skip was able to help me out with a new pair at a great price -- plus Skip is a super nice guy who clearly loves what he does. I'll be stopping in again when I'm in town."
"Skip is so helpful and knowledgeable. After tuning up my road bike he suggested a few ongoing maintenance items that I can do myself and showed me how to do them. Carpinteria, you are so fortunate to have Skip and BikeSmiths!"
