"Walking in and seeing the warm pink walls was really fun and I was immediately excited for the meal. I really wanted to love this place but alas it wasn’t meant to be. The service was slow but good, the waitress (owner I think) and her daughter were sweet and easy going. Unfortunately the food really put a damper on the whole experience. Indian food is one of my staples and I have eaten it all over the world and love it just about every time. What my friend and I ate tasted nothing like what we’ve come to know and love, the spices were seemingly absent and the flavor profile was so bland that it was hard to palate. It tasted like it was previously frozen or out of a box and resembled hospital food more than our beloved tikka masala and korma. The mango lassi looked and tasted like milk, corn syrup, and food coloring. Seemingly no trace of mango, yogurt, or the familiar bite of cardamom. I don’t like to leave negative reviews but I feel like the feedback may help someone avoid an experience like ours and may inspire the owners to rewrite the recipes or change some things."
"A mom & pop, hole-in-the-wall treasure! Such tasty food! Yummy options I can’t wait to explore everything on the menu! Plus, the menu lists out multiple gluten free options! We had the lamb kabobs and essentially fried onions that were amazing! Amazingly, I haven’t had any allergic reactions (gluten)so I feel pretty confident in coming back again soon! Atmosphere: romantic in my personal opinion but still great for friends and family groups. I saw a very large family group while there as well as more typical group numbers. And even people eating solo. I overheard a waitress say that she and her husband co-own & operate this cute restaurant and she mentioned her husband is originally from India. (So trust them on their recommendations for spice levels!)"
"After seeing this place listed on Google i HAD to go check it out. Btwn their menu, pictures, and spice levels I was sure it would be the best Indian food in the Rogue Valley. Well- it wasn't. I ordered the chicken lovers Thali and was disappointed to hear I couldn't pick a spice level because "I ordered the thali" and was stuck with a chili powder tasting hot sauce that I wasn't impressed with. For a 30 dollar meal, I expect to get it my way. The butter chicken was good, Tikka Masala was good as well, but the tandoori chicken was severely overcooked and super dry. My garlic Naan was really tasty but it was dry and chewy; It tasted and felt like it had been reheated in a microwave. My portions were pretty small and 2 sections of my tray were stuffed with iceberg lettuce and some tomatoes which left me unimpressed. Our server was very kind and the place is clean and pleasant, just a little on the small side. No Indian servers or staff- which was weird. I'm assuming the cook was, but it always throws me off when I'm eating ethnic food and there isn't a trace of its ethnic people in the house asides from the decor. To sum it up- place didn't live up to the reviews or pictures and I found it a bit overpriced for what I got. I'll be sticking with my usual Indian restaurants: the grass isn't always greener on the other side."
"This was a fabulous dining experience from start to finish! We were greeted, seated and served by the daughter of the family that owns and runs this sweet restaurant. She was pleasant and extremely helpful with choosing our dinner. We chose the four course option, which gives you the choice of lentil soup or salad with yogurt dressing(we went with the salad), garlic or regular naan bread(we got both), rice, your entree and dessert. I had a vegetarian curry dish and my wife had tandoori lamb...both dishes were bursting with flavor. Every bite of each course was an experience in my mouth! The ambiance was delightful and felt casual, yet elegant. Before the end of the meal, we had met the mother, father and two of the daughters(all working with smiles that were contagious)...we felt like we had truly had a top-notch dining experience and, somehow, made friends. I absolutely cannot wait to have a chance to return for another visit! Thank you for sharing your energy with us!"
"The food and presentation was top notch here. Our server did a great job of answering any questions about the food and informed us of the different levels of spice we could choose from. My friends and I shared a few different plates and all of them were great, especially the tandoori chicken. I'd definitely recommend this place to any of my friends or someone looking for a nice Indian restaurant. The proportions were on the larger side and my friends & I all had some leftovers. Everything was very well priced for the quality and serving sizes."
