Reviews of Bully's East Prime Bistro Sports Bar
"Is the worst service I ever had. Went there on a Saturday which was a big mistake. I wanted a club sandwich and it was not on the menu on Saturday so I couldn't get it. I ordered a French dip which was for. There was one slice of beef and tiny little sandwich 7 French fries which they got horse radish on them. She never came back to the table would not give me new fries just said I'm sorry.. My sister-in-law never got a fork so she was never able to eat her Meal. The waitress never came back to the table so by that time the food was cold. The waitress could have saved the whole issue if she would have just been a better way just offered me new fries and was able to get my sister-in-law forked before the food was ice cold.. I went back 2 days later to talk to the manager.. I was really expecting something more than I'm sorry I hope it doesn't happen again maybe she was just having a bad day.. I was more upset when I left there after I took a trip of 45 minutes to get there.. The manager is a representative of the company even if she offered me $5 off Another sandwich but absolutely nothing. I guess they really don't care if they lose customers."
"This establishment is an old San Diego favorite. I had not been here since before COVID. It hasn't changed. It's still warm, friendly and welcoming. Everything was fine this time except for one minor detail. While eating my garlic mashed potatoes, I discovered a hair. I understand these things happen on occasion. This won't stop me from returning in the future. It just made the experience a little less enjoyable... My ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and my wife enjoyed what she ordered."
"Been coming here for years... , not as good as it once was... had the tomahawk steak. I should have stuck with the filet. They have guinness beer and they do a proper pour."
"I have to say this is one of the best Caesar salads I’ve ever had. The shrimp was crisp and it felt like it was right off the grill. Caesar salad dressing was wonderful."
"Really old school steakhouse establishment. I brought my top sales rep here as a thank you for all his hard work, and honestly I wanted to come here myself since I haven’t ate here in a decade (native San Diegan here). He didn’t know anything about Bully’s. They first thing I noticed was how busy it was, and then how less than clean everything was. Should have been a red flag, but I ignored it as our time was super limited. I had prime rib, my colleague had top sirloin. Both cuts of meat looked pretty good and mine was tender, but boring. Had a salad with vinaigrette (not pictured). Long story short, I have mild food poisoning, and judging from whats coming out of me it was likely the salad or dressing, but hey, it could have been the watery horseradish (I ate a little and asked for fresh instead). Obviously steak houses are all very pricey these days; our meal with no alcohol was $120, but had I not gotten sick I would have shrugged it off and never visited again. I was tempted to call them and let them know, but a restaurant that’s been in business this long and allows it to fall into this condition would ignore anything I would have to say anyway. Getting a great steak without going to a chain like Morton’s or Fleming’s or to one of the Little Italy or Gaslamp pretentious eateries is getting to be impossible."
