CVS Pharmacy 6 The Crossroads, Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA 93923

"You can do much better elsewhere. I am in a position to help seniors with their medications and I have had multiple issues with this pharmacy. I called in a refill, received notice that MD would need to approve. I called the MDs office, because cardiac medication would run out in 5 days. Office phoned in refill that day and requested "rush". I called 4 days later and it still wasn't filled. I went to pick up personally and they said, "it's out for delivery". It arrived after 5pm !. I talked to Pharmacy manager and was given the typical, "won't happen again."Next time the delivery man was on vacation ! NO NOTICE ! My elderly client was not informed. When I went to pick up medication I asked and confirmed 3 times how long delivery would not be available and was told July 11. THREE TIMES. Today, I went to pick up meds and "they are out for delivery"! I speak to pharmacist and got nowhere. "WE have to figure out how to solve, etc, etc". Turns out the delivery driver was back June 11th. Any notification ? Another client (today) went to pick up breathing medications and was told it would be $500. AFTER they questioned, the pharmacy decided to check with MD for insurance info, diagnosis, etc. Had this elderly person not had, hired assistants to clarify the matter ...? I am urging all my clients to transfer their RXs elsewhere !"

"While the pharmacy is located within a CVS has a 2-star rating, don't let that dissuade you from giving them your business. Though I have never had to speak with the pharmacist, the staff is genuinely friendly and have always been a pleasure to interact with. If you care less about the experience than you do the outcome, prescriptions are filled quickly and well within the time quoted. Lastly, though Carmel-by-the-Sea is a wealthy retirement community and therefore lines at the pharmacy can be long, the staff is quick to adjust to them when they are, and before you know it you're out the door. It's just a pharmacy, but they do it well. I'm a happy customer, you should be too."
