Reviews of Tavern+Bowl East Village
"I’ve been coming to Tavern + Bowl for football, karaoke nights, and bowling festivities for years. I always have an amazing time! Keanu and Will behind the bar provide amazing service and delicious drinks. The food selection and overall atmosphere are ideal for a sports fan’s night out!"
"Stopped in for my first time for a drink after work. Keanu greeted me right at the door and recommended a great pilsner. He then offered a menu and water right away. Unfortunately I had already ate. Very friendly service and great conversation about local beers."
"Really disappointed that we had to drive all the way to this place to find out that their bowling lanes were all reserved. If they had simply answered their phone one of the 5 times I called, it would've saved me the 1 hour drive!"
"I don’t usually right reviews but this place really needed it. My first time going, my girlfriend and I were the only ones at the bar. The guy with the tattoos and glasses offered no greeting just asked what we wanted. Slide my drink over and went to the smoking area to chat with friends. We had to wait to get drinks multiple times because coworkers and recording a fridge door falling off was a lot more important. Decided to give it another try and maybe we’d get a better bartender on the weekend. Even worst service. The same glasses and tattooed guy served us. My friend wanted to get food but wasn’t ready to order. After a few mins the bartenders friends showed up. The guy with the shoulder length brown hair and hat told the other bartender not to worry about their drinks because they were on him. After watching both of them talk them up and give them on hell of a heavy pour I knew it wasn’t going to get better. I watched the guy with the glasses make himself an alcoholic drink to which he disappeared with. asked the other bartender for help and if they share tips to make sure I tipped correctly he said yes. When our other bartender emerged the guy informed him of my question. The both catered to every other customer included the table with friends. Both would walk by and avoid contact never speaking to us again. I ended up asking my friend to grab a drink for us and he was about to be served until the guy asked if it was for us. The made the drinks putting red bull in a Jack and Coke I’m sure out of spite and laziness. I asked to close the tab which he happily brought with the 25% tip highlighted and wished us a goodnight. Funny that they only speak to you when it’s time to tip. Ironically it was the funniest thing I have ever seen. It because a laughing joke every time they ignored us and served the other couple we were with. The place has potential which is a damn shame. You’d think working for tips you’d be friendly and do your job but sadly that’s tip culture nowadays. Don’t worry they still made their 20% off of me even though they sucked. Clearly no management in this place"
"Great spot for sports and catching up. Bar food is ok. Friends liked the flatbread. Quesadilla is pretty good. The spicy salsa was the star though. Potato boats-not a fan at all. Wings and burger looked good; will try next time. Decent beer selection. I like the Bay City brews and the 394. Bar service was great and service seemed smooth even during the Super Bowl. When we come at other times it’s been great also. Management always seems very involved and on top of things."
