"the Atmosphere is a little lackluster and the interior lack a little bit of soul and fulfillment, not much work needed but it felt a little bare. All of the staff was very friendly and very diligent. A handsome server guides you to your table if you are lucky and everything looked clean at least. As for the food, nothing to call him about. It is far from bad but also nothing amazing, it more or less will do and does so, tasty enough to eat but not worth the exact price. The Knotty barrel needs a little bit of work on almost everything. however the staff is very friendly and if you have people from out of town looking to try some safe to eat food from friendly service then this is the place for you."

"This place is amazing! But even more than the food and vibe, the people are amazing! Andrew the manager went out of his way to make our last minute meetup happen and Casey (or KC - sorry if I got it wrong!) was the best server I’ve ever had. He not only handled the meetup that ended up with way more people than expected, he was so fun and nice and him and Andrew were just great people! 10/10 recommend for meetups/networking/events!"

"The Knotty Barrel is located on the corner of Market and 9th Ave in downtown San Diego. They have a welcoming atmosphere as well as a huge selection of beers and other libations. Parking is extremely limited in the area being it is downtown. We tried the Potato Chip Nachos on this trip and they were tasty. It’s a really different concept in a city full of nacho joints. Honestly I think the beer and libations selection as well as the on point service provided are the key reasons we would return. Try the Julian Black and Blue hard cider if you get the chance."

"A fun sports bar with consistently great food! I've been here many times and would go just for the food even if not drinking. I love coming here when I want to avoid the super packed bars in the gaslamp district, but still want the energy of a sports bar while watching a game. They also have their own brewery next door, and serve some of the beer that they brew there at the bar. Staff is always friendly. Highly recommend!"
